Could you turn fumbling down a notch on extreme? I like a challenge but this is just plain frustrating. I feel like I can't really run the ball because I'm so afraid of fumbling that I dive on almost every play. My rb gets hit maybe 7 times a game and still puts it on the ground at least twice!
Truly amazing game! Love what you've done with it. For an online retro football game it punches well above its weight. I'll take this over Madden any day.
Couple of things I wouldn't mind seeing added to it.
1. Some sort of interaction on defense, even if it was just limited to coaching, i.e. focus on run vs pass, blitz or coverage, etc.
2. It would be cool if you could have a couple of reserve or practice squad slots to develop rookies for a year, rather than having to cut solid players to make room for them.
Fun game, pretty solid for a flash game.
Audibles would be nice even if you only had a couple plays to pick from. Also the fumbles are way annoying, I get that they're part of the game but there aren't spin moves etc. that could contribute to them, or even a "cover" button so that the player can try to reduce the likelihood of fumbles. When the best run team in the league fumbles three times in a ten minute game it seems that fumbles are there just to encourage more passing and/or turn the momentum for the AI which rarely seems to fumble.
The taunt function needs to be limited somehow. One unit should not be able to "scare" off an entire army. While I was messing around and experimenting with archers, I left the sole remaining unit alone (except for firing at it with some archers) and that one unit was able to lower my Army's morale from over 60 to 0 and win. I had 7 or 8 units.
Perhaps weight the effectiveness of taunt based on the size of the forces.
Did a charge with a boars snout formation. The units that didn't engage an enemy ran off the enemies side of the screen and now the game is stuck on "charge" animation.
needs some serious tweaking. armor and shields come at at once or not at all and leave you hanging out to dry during long dry spells. Coins are too frequent. Maxed everything out by level 11.
Completely agree with soulmaker, the randomness of this game makes it very frustrating and leaves your survival more up to luck than anything else. Plus if you are going to make a sequel to a game shouldn't it be better? I understand movie sequels always blow but generally games at least improve in game play if not plot...
