There should be an impossible badge for completing the game in 2 player mode without any deaths - That means either you were able to control 2 units alone or you were able to find a friend. Both are pretty hard, but the first is much easier in comparison.
There's a solution that seems to be working for me about the lag problem. Turn the sound and music off, right click and change quality to low, and turn the page zoom to 50%. Battle and movement got much faster for me after I did that.
THE ULTIMATE STRATEGY TO BEATING THIS GAME:
at the start of every battle, send out ALL of your troops to attack the enemy's largest building before doing anything else. the enemy(s) will continue to expand without attacking your weakened buildings. use your newly acquired large structure to eliminate any nearby buildings. only upgrade agility, speed, attack, and xp. Also upgrade initial mana enough to be able to cast fireball once and fireball enemy buildings at start. this works for more than one enemy too, just focus fire. I completed this game in less than 2 hours, with some battles less than 15 seconds. For bosses, eliminate enemies quickly, take all buildings, keep sending all troops at boss arms then head.
THUMBS UP IF THIS TACTIC WORKS.
wildcat custom, dehydration for early levels, entrophy blast for later levels. max out agility stats, focus, instinct and get a shield for additional defence. Entrophy blast even kills waizer in one hit.
... i really really hate it when death trap rooms happen. i went into a room with 6 ice chargers!!! good thing i had 70 ice resistance and i survived. there is no doubt that ice resistance is the most important resistance.
critical hit is easily one of the best skills. shield is only for 3 hits which doesn't help much when your being piled by enemies and the boss monster. i'm using a vampire wanderer unit with the critical hit skill attached to my weapon. with critical hit it heals myself more and deals extra damage. this also helps for the later levels where enemies have loads of hp. with a high will, you can just spam critical hit and watch them fall.
the class with most dps isnt actually the grey knight, its the mercenary. At divine rank, with 36-145 dmg with 95 chance of critical thats pretty much 72-270 dmg. its only disadvantage is it's low speed as ranged units can tear them apart from a distance but that can be solved with a sorcerer.
tip for after game training. If you start a battle and then click the back button in the upper left corner you can reduce your challenge rank. That considerably weakens the monsters you fight making you able to get money quicker.
also if u have demon hunters if you press defend they just start attacking even if there are no enemys lol useful for this stupid ai that just makes units go forward you get to attack them before they even get on the screen.
5 grey knights actually works pretty well all you have to do is fall back, attack , fall back, attack, etc. Savage summon completely takes care of the hp problem as the knights deal huge amounts of damage.
