It is more progressive in late game (when you have opened plenty of cargo boxes, giving you more DPS, from transfers.), if you put yourself on low costs mode because then you can get weapons to level 200 faster and then start getting multiplicative (exponential) multipliers on those weapons. Then, DPS will become much faster. (P.S. I thought of this yesterday at the town pool!!!)
