Great game. I love the destructible terrain. What I'm not loving is the boss fights. They're tough, which is fine except that you have to watch the intro animation every time you die and restart. Also, Indy and Blade are practically useless in any stage with a boss or a lot of mechanical enemies.
The game is pretty good until you get to the point where squads only a few points higher than you are decimating your team. I suppose I need to upgrade my team. But the unit acquisition, researching, and fusing is unintuitive and tedious. I don't really want to keep coming back to this game once every 5 hours to research each little component of a new unit. So unfortunately, I'm done with this game.
I went back and replayed the last two levels after an update to try and get three stars. The game has become exceedingly more difficult. I am still not able to sell or upgrade traps. Every other TD game seems to have this mechanic down. I would just copy that. The thieves need to be nerfed because they are just overwhelming. This game is on the verge of becoming too frustrating to play.
For the life of me I can't figure out how to sell or upgrade traps. I've tried right clicking on them, left clicking on them and both have no effect. I would make traps selectable and make the cost and effect of upgrading them more apparent. Overall a great game though. It really partially fills the hole that Dungeon Keeper left in my heart.
Overall a very good game. There are however some noticeable bugs and gameplay issues. I concur with others who have said that the defending segments quickly become a chore. They also keep occurring even when there is 0% threat in an area. The requirement to have recruits be used up to upgrade the buildings means that you will constantly be on the lookout for lower level soldiers and builders. There should be some way to recruit people other than finding them in a mission. Or they should not be used up whenever you upgrade something.
Additionally, I've encountered several crash bugs either after or before missions. They seem to occur most often when loading a mission after having purchased an upgrade. This sometimes results, upon reloading the game, with my being equipped with a weapon that the game doesn't show my having purchased yet.
Maybe make it a little bit harder to smash items you've made. I just accidentally destroyed my bed and I don't have the resources to make a new one. Guess I'll have to start over if I want to keep playing.
Also, sleeping should regenerate health.
I have no idea why right click is not working for you. Sorry about it.
