Entity is really easy. Just max out shield and low energy use and save some energy recovery items for him/her whatever. Blue Laser and nukes do the rest (boss lifebar ist on the right side of the screen for all who did not recognize yet)
I also "had" the luck problem in the beginning. But while playing i realized thats up to the player to get the 4 and 5 way combos before the enemy does. What`s not so good is the AI. In the later levels u can take out everyone by poising, then wait until he beserks and shields-->cure and in the mean time u get the orbs to do that. Between that some fireballs and lightings do the rest. All in all really enjoyable 4/5
u should build few units and then use fight and retreat to earn enough money to upgrade them to lvl 3. After that it should be easy and u can save the money to earn the 10% interest...
