I really want to like this game, I've tried to play it a couple times because it's got everything I normally love: turn-based d&d party rpg ... but there's just a little too much random chance to make this a good strategy game. Drawing cards from an increasingly large deck PLUS the whims of dice rolls is just a little too much. I also feel like the cleric's healing abilities are always too weak to be effective, if a single heal is half an average attack damage it's a waste of a turn.
Super love this game! One small complaint: because of the way the party selection randomization works, it can take ages and ages to roll up a decent party. It would be nice if the randomization had a couple more rules attached? Like, don't give a whole set that's just mages, or a whole set with no mages. And it's really frustrating to see, say, shield bearers with toughness below 10, or other silly things like that. Especially when trying to beat hardcore, spending an hour rerolling to get a strong party is deeply frustrating.
I was really, really enjoying this game right up until I began to realize that I was never going to get a persuade success without gems. I spent all my gold failing to persuade any monsters, feeling my party get weaker despite my character getting stronger, and gave up and left autofight on refighting the second dungeon long enough to get to level 10 and get the badges.
Potentially very fun game utterly ruined by a single broken mechanic. 20%? Really? And we lose the gold no matter the outcome? Sucks.
This is AWFUL. Badly made, badly explained, badly translated probably, badly designed, and worst of all super loud music with no sound control. Giving badges to this is shameful, Kong. I've put up with some terrible MMOs and worked through them for badges but I'm closing this after ten minutes. Shame on you.
Enjoyable game, but somewhat disappointed that the author doesn't seem to have taken any steps to address the glaring issues. Author seems to prefer just churning out more unpolished, unfinished games.
Would be nice to have rollovers or descriptors for unit types and the stats, rather than just icons. Those who are familiar with the genre can puzzle out what the icons mean. However, if one plays the game and then leaves it and comes back, the only way of differentiating the units is mathematically comparing their stats and then trial-and-erroring their specials. Unless I'm missing some reference page somewhere, in which case it could be a little more obvious.
My tip on that kind of annoying guys is: try use speed rings, if your party dont have a strong CC use love potions on the enemy party. focus on erasing enemies one by one. Exploit your totem to the maximum if possible.
I understand pandering to the bottom line, and I understand that the average gamer on this site is likely male, but when I finished upgrading the cheerleaders I just had to stop and bang my head on the wall. I have to spend the entire rest of the game staring at THESE absurd objectifications? REALLY? Can we have an option to put clothes on them, please?
hey! Thanks for the feedback! Sound fun to add a "wear ponchos" button to the cheerleaders, will probably implement it in the next game!
About objectification... Its not objectification since cheerleaders are cheerleaders by his own will by the end of the game this is explicitly shown, so finish the game and check it out! :D
Suggestion for Kong users trying to get the badge: if you're frustrated with the game but want those points, just open the game twice a day to levy taxes, upgrade city and seaport, and go on an expedition. It takes a while but you can get to lvl 20 without actually struggling much with the game itself.
Maybe it's just me, but so many battles in the 3rd and 4th region are swamped with high-attack flyers who bypass all my monsters and powers and kill me before I can mount a defensive. It's painfully unfair for the enemy to have the most advantageous kind of monster OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Stopped working for me about 14 hours ago, and still won't work. Same loading glitch. I was just entering the 5th area ... I don't want to start all over ...
Very much liked this game. It gets my 5 stars. Personally "move fast, strike hard, pause lots" made it somewhat easy, but the crystals got very smart and very fast at the gold level, so it wasn't too easy.
