i think the problem late game with the lag is memory allocation or dumping, when i start the game i have about 30% memory taken up, after about 20 minutes however i got up to about 60% which is a drastic jump on my computer, idk quite how to handle it myself but that could be the cause of the lag issue for me and other players

The memory is filled before every game. It's most likely due to the big quantity of ships and projectiles on the screen.
