My suggestion for Europe Challenge: There are two things you want to do 1) spread south attempting to take France, Spain, and Portugal (in that order). Once you have those secured, take Italy from the bottom route. 2) While all of that is going on you are going to get Airlift cards - use those cards to send reinforcements TO YOUR AI PARTNER. The AI is a HUGE help in beating this map in 24 turns so you CANNOT let them get overrun. I also passed one of my original groups of 50 and about 3-4 turns of reinforcements to the AI through Northern Scotland to Western Norway.
The challenge mode is just terrible. 2m, then 1m increments? And I was able to use the exact same build technique from 20m to 40m so for me this was less an exercise in engineering/architecture than it was in forcing myself to keep pressing next. However, the levels themselves are fun and challenging, so I'd give a 3.5/5
I disagree with the comments that luck is the only factor in this game. Once you figure out how to control the height of your jumps properly, there isn't an obstacle you can't get past. 4/5 for a game I genuinely enjoyed and for a hard badge I got in under 10 minutes.
All achievements, all badges, a couple hours. Not a bad game, but not a spectacular game either. A pet peeve being that the game doesn't get harder, it just swarms you more. Getting the badge on Survival 8 for "Kill All Deserters" is near impossible but it can be done, just don't build anything. Thank God you don't have to get all 3 in one try. 3.5/5
Great game with a solid difficulty curve. Though it does get quite difficult by the end, I was able to finish the game completely and had a lot of fun doing so. 4/5
Well, anyone who has played Lemmings (or one of it's many clones) will certainly have an advantage here. I for one did not find any real difficulty to any of the levels asides from level 9 and 20. All around it's a good game, but there really should have been more testing to see exactly what tools were needed per level. IDK how many levels I ended up with extra tools.
Wow. Just wow. The scope of this game just blew me away. I can't imagine how much time must have been spent crafting the story and dialogue. At the end, I just had to beat Iblis over and over to see the different endings. I did have one problem, I noticed that on one mission (and from that point forth) my ship movement speed dropped dramatically. I don't know if that is on purpose to stop the game from getting too easy at later levels or if it is a glitch, but it was jarring to say the least. Otherwise, well done.
Got the bat on my first try, granted I did play this game 2 years ago or so. My tactic, was to completely fill one quarter (a corner) of the screen with web. Then, as I got golden webbing, completely fill up another quarter with pure gold. I never came close to dying and got the bat on its second fly through. + if this worked for you.
