why do game developers don't use some internet clock; would prevent cheating

perfect is less worth than epic? Thats very counterintuitive.
I mean an item can be epic but a perfect item is, well, perfect. There is no progression. Perfect things are the pincacle of everything.
Thats why humans strive for perfection and not epicness...at least not the majority..
