The Challenge levels are just laughably broken. Level 3 and I can't beat it - even with fully upgraded (via the upgrades menu) Machine Gun and Saws. Pro tip: Challenge mode is meant to be a fun challenge, not a click the Quit menu after the first attempt, impossible to enjoy grind.
Pretty good, but a bit broken in that you can never really tell how much of your fleet/troops you're deploying from your planet to attack. Maybe I'm missing it, or maybe because this is clearly a mobile game ported to Kongregate that functionality has been lost. Because of that, and because of the mentioned "fly around aimlessly" bug, I have to give this game a 4/5
It's a great game, but it loses it's appeal very quickly. By the time you complete all the levels and start your way into the challenge levels you've had enough of the whole thing. A Survival mode would be nice as well, just to give a break from the Challenge mode, which is a bit asinine in its difficulty.
One of the most enjoyable games I've played and one of the least frustrating and "grindy" hard badges out there. Just takes critical thinking and planning, not some obscure number of points or impossible tasks.
It'd be great to know how many kills I have with each type of "damage" (crit, blast wave, chain lightening). The Medium badge is getting a bit tedious to get considering I have no idea how many kills with critical hits I have.
Sees that the Xbox One challenged is on this game now. Goes and plays it. Realizes he got over 2.9k when he played this game last, and can't figure out how.
At first I was getting walked on by the Amazons. Then I realized the Terror spell actually breaks their stun of your towers in addition to sending them running back.
One of the best logic games I've seen on Kongregate. Usually I tired quickly or grow frustrated with such games, but the way it's done (low pressure, no move count, no set pattern) makes this game a joy to play 5/5
You really begin to realize how poorly coded the controls are and how terrible the input lag is when you are trying to speed through for the hard badge. Half (or more) of the time, the game ignores your input and continues your forward momentum. This is a terrible thing in a platforming game where accuracy on jumps is everything.
Although some comments claim the game is unbalanced in favor of the player, but I've found that even with third tier upgrades for my melee and ranged, they still got rolled by the "Goblin Cave" level. It seems like the difficulty isn't proper for any of the levels. You'll get levels that are far too easy and then a random one that's super difficult.
Quit playing after the first boss spawned in outside the range of my shotgun. You're telling me that the second weapon you can buy can't touch the first boss? Bad design.
And of course, right after I say I can't beat level 30, I do it. lol. Great challenge. My suggestion to those coming in new: Don't waste money on gun body or higher level armor.
Still haven't beat level 30, and it's odd that I seem to be in the minority. The first boss is simple but the triple boss just seems to be impossible. I have level 5-6 on all upgrades.
The main issue here is that you can't direct your ninja and the AI seems to be a bit stupid at times. I don't need three ninja attacking a single target when a huge stream of enemies is coming from the opposite side. The later levels become less about strategy and more about farming enough gold from them (via failure) to get the appropriate upgrade for the level.
Great concept, but a bit shaky in the execution. 3/5
Great game! Although I will say after you get both henchman and a couple of weapons for each (especially the mine layer) the game sort of just becomes less about surviving and more just waiting for the waves to end, lol.
Best moment ever is watching a huge group of the shield guys get baked by the Tesla gun. 5/5
:D Thanks THX1386!!!!!!!
