Anyway, general strategies I've notice for each boss:
1. If boss takes poison damage, always always ALWAYS get max poison ASAP
2. Always keep up Barrier + Protect + Regen. Saves your life so often
3. If you get dispelled at all, it really sucks, so you want to remove things that do that first.
4. Resistance equips > equips that abuse boss weaknesses, you have enough elemental spells to not care. It's better to spread out your resistances across multiple people rather than 1 person if possible.
The rest comes down to experience I guess.
@Simmar hell no, it took dumb luck to beat Protector. No bomb resistance for Nate means that you spend way too many turns using coffee. And Hydra, since there's literally 1 dark resistance equipment available without a fight.
I tried to do a required fights only run on normal. Still took all chests I could open without a fight, including bonus rooms. Used minigames to grind out gold for upgrades/quests. I managed to get up to hydra, but couldn't beat the final boss without leveling up. I think it's possible if you plan things out really well, but you have limited AP for your skills, and you miss out on a lot of useful equipment, particularly some of the dark and death resistance ones. Still, if you want an interesting challenge, try it.
don't really like level 21. Essentially it's all platforming with some unusually tight timing, and if you mess it up even once you get stuck and have to restart. It's a common complaint in puzzle-platformers that the platforming is what makes the game difficult, now that I think about it.
YO: For all the badges, the counter is implemented based on the medal, and not the value. Bronze = 4, Silver = 3, Gold = 2, Platinum = 1 I think. The best so far counts your best MEDAL. In theory, you get your badge when your medal value is equal to or lower than the set value.
Adding to Rbinnetje's comment, I found that if I got stuck, just moving the grid around at all helped. Stops you from staring at the same thing while not actually thinking of ways to solve it.
100 stars feels too difficult for a hard badge, but it can't be an impossible badge because it isn't a 100% completion of the game. Still, come on, Gold all the public pro songs and you still only have 90 points -_-
Finding words: Go to onelook.com. For prefixs, type prefix then *. For suffixes, type * then suffix. For letter constraints, other sites are probably better, but you can do something similar by using letters instead of suffixes and adding * wherever extra letters are allowed.
The problem with Challenge 4 is that the bots default AI is to shoot at whatever target is closest to it. Which is fine, except the gun the bots have can't shoot anything melee range. So as soon as your shield gets right next to the bot, the dragon starts killing the sword. Meaning the only option is to constantly micro-manage the shield to stay at the right distance, and the sword to stay further than that.
