Needs a way to restart from any screen. Just pause is annoying. I play most miner type games and I'm just not seeing anything really outstandingly new. Also - Need a way to do a NEW game. Sorry. I'm not clearing the cache every time I need to start over. The whole "mine" for wood thing went past me and then I was screwed with no way to try again.
In order to Beat or Grind you'd have to be DOING something other than just sitting there passively. I'm pretty bored. Don't even have to freaking aim. I'd like to be able to play and not watch. The upgrades were cute and the graphics just fine but the inability to control movement or action made it a no-go for me.
I'm with everyone else - the icon placement is poor. I'm fine with the arrangement but they should not overlay the game area. Other than that I love this. I loved the flash version too. Glad you are moving it up in time. I'm on Chrome btw in case that helps. Screen resolution for me is 1980x1020
There needs to be a a way to get out of a portal window. I've bailed out of game twice because I did not want to go where the portal wanted to take me. Also - as much as I hate to say this : You need to fix the point for skills -- once you get to the 2nd or 3rd tab - it still only takes 1 point. Which given the glacial rate of point acquisition, this is probably ok.
very fancy but just not sure if it's a really good game though. I like the art and somewhat the concept. PLEASE run a spell check though as there are many spelling errors. I also found the game to be pretty buggy - no way to go back or reset to the last assistant found or anything when the game gets stuck. Running it on Chrome.
well... sort of boring for me which was sad considering decent art . Wanted a way to speed things up, would like to have more interaction as I don't want to WATCH the game play with itself.

No, to restore health and stamina, you have to use the Inn. Resting in the boat is just a way to save if you don't want to spend coins - you don't get a warm fire or meal there.
I can't argue with chiefqweef , A little more originality than substitution (background graphic copied from PVZ when you get new characters) would be nice and there isn't a side story. It's a good start but oh dear god.. it is SOO slow.
It functions perfectly as it is designed but was hoping for more variety in content. Very monotonous for extended play and given the reference games in the description was hoping for a story. It's a good start.
getting away from the dude on the raft is pretty tricky - no standard keys work and even clicking away you have to click on a really tiny spot to move forward . I also am in agreement - this game should not have mouse required it's silly and awkward. Pick - Mouse or Keyboard..
I accept that the goal for the game is laudable but dang it was boring. My 18 year old rolled his eyes at it. I'm sad that clearly no one has done the homework and realized that many jobs still pay under 10 a hour and that's barely enough to cover the cost of working. Education is useful but not everything ( I've got enough degree's to say that ). I realize we need to encourage younger folks but it is much harder to get by now than it used to be. And what was the crap about the credit card - I'm currently in the A level credit because I do not have any of those vile things!
Cute game - note that while all other controls were explained - it did not tell folks to use the "Z" key to attack..just showed a moving club. The movement is a bit too "fluidic"..especially for attacks.
Quick comments just because I didn't have a lot of play time - I'm with the comment about the equip section. Can you move the X to close the attributes window to the upper right of the window? Most folks are used to that point of exit and it took me a few before I found it ( sorry some of the contrast is hard for me to see. ) Also - Defence should be Defense ( Wrong in the adversary dialog ) :-)
I found it a little disconcerting to have the cursor switch out to represent the spell - seemed a little kludgy
