Groovy game. I think it could stand to be a tiny bit harder, and that's a very rare comment from me. Once I got Heal, I wasn't ever really in danger for the rest of the game as long as I paid attention to when I needed to heal up, and I don't think I used the wings after the 30's. A bit of a spellcasting buff might be good, too- there's no real incentive to bother with the offensive magic, doubly so since dragging the icon is a bit cumbersome. Otherwise, though, it was a nice, fun romp, and that's exactly what I wanted, so cheers.
Welp, I got some basic HP/SP on kill stuff, so I can at least GRIND to get healthy, but an inn would still be vastly more convenient.
I have to ask, why am I getting destroyed so easily by the Fire and Ice Slimes around Gino Mountain? I've farmed the Lv. 7 Wolves until there's really no point, and I can easily handle the Goblins in that area if I manage to lure one out. I'm the same level as the Fire Slimes, and while I haven't been able to kill a blue one yet, they at least don't give me the Caution. I can't even tell what they're doing half the time, just that I'm suddenly at 1/3 health and usually dead by the time I process that. It's kinda frustrating to spend a couple hours grinding and still only have about even odds against a single weak enemy from the area the story expects you to be.
I'm still starting out, but is there anything along the lines of an inn in this game, or am I forced to rely on potions and my miniscule regeneration to heal me up every time I come back from fighting?
Solid game, but I do think the Ninja bosses are a tiny bit OP. I'm working on getting all brilliants, and while I'm making headway, I feel somewhat like I'm FORCED to spec Meteor just for them. It takes away a bit of the fun- I'd much rather put my points into something else rather than being railroaded into something I don't even like, and nothing else in the game has given me enough trouble that I feel the need to optimize my builds to deal with it. I propose either nerfing the Smoke Bomb or taking away Fast, especially for the boss forms, and maybe beefing up the HP a tiny bit to make up for it. On some of the levels, the smoke bomb keeps them covered almost the entire run to the gems, and that's just kinda silly.
Hm, is there a good guide for this or anything? I love this game and have been playing for hours, but even with casual, laptop difficulty, skip hard waves, and the smattering of medals I've gotten, I've only made it past day 10 once. Also, how exactly does the Ragnarok sword and medal work? I found two in one game, but killed myself using one and didn't get a medal. <
Clone bots are really, really ridiculous. When my accuracy is already low, it's really annoying because they can usually spawn faster than I can kill them, making what starts as a lone clone bot potentially take 15+ minutes to fight, and that's not fun. I like the game in general, but I'm on the verge of quitting just because I've been fighting clone bots continuously for the past twenty minutes or so.
Ah, that's right, I forgot you could re-assign. I'll have to do that then. One other gripe that I have is with the AI- it seems that, even after pumping up my passing stat, my receivers are scared of the ball, happily dodging the pass when they would catch it if they'd just friggin' stand still for a half second.
Good concepts, but the controls are pretty frustrating. Primarily, I'd like to see different buttons for tackle and shoot, and I'd also like shoot to actually go towards the goal instead of forward. (perhaps another button?) I just lost a game because I was a splitsecond too late hitting "G" and scored on myself trying to steal the ball.
Pretty cool game- my one complaint is that it got a bit too easy after I took a few territories, then got a bit too hard after the ??? showed up. Still awesome, though!
