Took me a while, but I finally beat 25 days and finished w/ 24. I haven't been able to do it again since, but don't put anything into ex-employees, construction, or protesters as they are counter-intuitive to auto progression. I would've got it in 23, but the poop gods have not spared me their wrath. AMAZING GAME, origaming! I see from the other comments, you plan on releasing another one and I cannot wait! Keep up the fun! I really can't stop trying to beat my day count. it's a little weird.
Two puzzles here, aren't based in logic. They're convoluted and non-intuitive.
1. Cubes were fine until you made multiple colors w/ different symbols. This makes me think that using the cubes the way their meant to be is wrong. Okay, so if not based by colors, i.e: sky=blue, grass=green, maybe the color of the walls in each cube room. No? Well so much for that!
2. The cod code applied to roman numeral combination. You made 10 notches for each line, implying each number starts from 1 (1,2,3). Paired w/ that, you seemingly labeled each line w/ a roman numeral. Intuition says the cod code is out of order and your ordering the numbers w/ the numerals, but no. You didn't label the line, YOU LABELED THE NOTCH! To differentiate the ideas in the future, please label more than one notch per line.
In conclusion, you made brilliant puzzles that misdirected typical styles and had you think outside of other games.
If anyone doesn't want spoilers, the math portion just needs PEMDAS to solve.
(P)arenthesis, (E)xponents, (M)ultiply, (D)ivide, (A)dd, (S)ubtract. It's a mnemonic to solve what part of the equation first.
This game is not a game, it's a test you must study for before taking. You wanna know how I know? Because even you have a section IN YOUR INSTRUCTIONS called ARG! I'M STUCK! as if you knew unless a player followed your OCD "advice", the game is impossible. Having B-enemies that are weak to A-type heroes works fine w/ strategy based styled games, games like Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh or even Chess. This is dressed up to look intuitive; as if you could make the occasional mistake, get punished, learn and move on. You reveal it to be particular. Any mistake and you're overwhelmed. It's an annoying game. A BORING GAME. I don't like having to resort to reading instructions/walkthroughs/steps-to-win. It simply becomes work.
So, it's probably a thing on my end, but I beat the game and both achievements have not been unlocked, which from their description, should be impossible!
Other than that, very intuitive game play! Through the philosophy of it all, the game really challenges finite concepts, which are easier to pick apart and implode their beliefs. Remember kids, closed minds learn nothing new.
Its SOOOOO much fun to keep restarting the game to get to Mars in 3 days using nothing but RNG and no skill that determines if I get the Hard badge (which is a badge that acknowledges the player's skills as they LEARN the game, not rewards the one out of a million chances you get to earn enough to reach Mars by day 3). SO MUCH FUN, I tell you. Please, continue to make lazy choices in game development. You're AMAZING...
This was great! I could hear each character in my head w/ their own voices. I got pretty good at reading them out, though I got strange looks for whatever reason! Ah, well. Such is life. Keep it up!
I have some observations about this guy. First, he seems to either be in the Matrix or he's hallucinating...hard. Second, lets assume this chick is real. Seems like the line is drawn at independence for the most part. She believes he'll be lost w/o her. She wasn't offering to help this man, which should have been her goal after he confesses. Instead, she stands there smug in her assertion of his incompetence. That is never a good relationship to stay in. The moment she started getting smug, I was done w/ her and switched to the mindset of "get lost". I also found out, I'm very decision oriented. It took me too long to find the 2nd ending, cause I don't believe in flip-flopping decisions mid-way through. Great game!
Everything flowed real well in this series. I like that if I had an idea about what something could be for, it was usually the next step. It was easy to play and fun to go through. You did a great job w/ the story and I can't wait for this series to continue. Amazing work, solarVagrant! Keep it up!
It's sooooooooooooooooo inconsistent in it's jerky movements, getting band-aids might as well be impossible, cause RNG on how the character either doesn't move at all or shoots forward w/o regard to own life bugs the absolute shit out of me. It's hard b/c there is no skill required. Just luck.
