Enjoyed it, rated 4-stars because it was pretty fun, but like others have said the game is too easy, especially considering that it's a rogue-like.
I thought I was gonna die a lot but I beat it without dieing once. I was a little disappointed by that and it's not what I'm used to when something is described as "rogue-like".
I had fun with this one, I rated it highly.
I liked upgrading the units, trying to figure out the best strategy to beat each stage. If you make a sequel to this, I would put what enemy types are in the stage so I can put the right units in. There is some amount of "unit obsolescence" with Marion/Antonio, as least in my experience of the game.
Finally, I enjoy upgrading units in games like these, but once the game is over there's nothing left to do. Perhaps some final "challenge rounds" that require fully upgraded units/skills would have been the icing on the cake!
Thank you so much for the appreciation ;D
The "enemy overview" suggestion really to the point though, I'll use it for the next
similar game :)
Thumbs up!
Great concept, lots of potential here, but the execution isn't good.
There are balance issues and no tutorial explaining important things, especially invisible units. Did you know that if you turn a unit into a block it will make invisible units reappear when they reach the block? The game never tells you that, you have to figure that out for yourself, or as the developer mentions in a response to someone else, "Watch the tips and tricks videos." You shouldn't have to go somewhere else to know how to pass stage 3.
Also, not being able to "un-block" a unit is annoying. Makes each stage require perfect play or you're restarting.
Finally, the music for the world map is a little headache-inducing on the second musical idea. A constant snare hit on every beat for over 12 bars? Ow, my friggin head... I have to shut it off.
Great concept though, I do enjoy that. Just gotta polish it up, this version is kinda rough.
It's a strategy game without all the fluff. Extreme replayability, and that's what I really like about it.
A small learning curve when first playing the game as nothing is really explained, you just go, but nothing that is so complex that you can't figure out just by playing and/or reading the text.
Played Chp 1 and am almost to the end of Chp 2 here, this game's fun! Kind of Final Fantasy Tactics-y in some ways, the battles are actually challenging (especially if you're going for 'Flawless Victory' skill points every time), the characters are all interesting (although I would like to hear more from Oksana personally; she seems like that one JRPG character that gets shunted aside in dialog and scenes after their introduction because the developers couldn't think of what to do with them), and the story is getting interesting without getting convoluted.
Good show old chaps, can't wait for the next chapters!
Is it intentional that everytime I get to 25 log-ins, the next time I log-in for my daily spin, it goes BACKWARDS to 21 log-ins? For one day I can get a Starry Coupon and the very next day it reverts back. Is it a bug or something?
Thank you so much for the appreciation ;D The "enemy overview" suggestion really to the point though, I'll use it for the next similar game :) Thumbs up!
