Has issues for me, but I suppose that could theoretically be Adobe's issues with Linux there. Often ignores a keypress or sticks a keypress when another arrow is being held. Even room 2 is nearly impossible like that. :/
I don't know if it's control related, or simply Linux-flash glitch, but it is nearly impossible to double-jump up to a platform that is clearly labeled with the symbol. The second jump always either goes out prematurely, or doesn't register at all.
I tried every combination of the numbers I found, only to fail. So I waited for the walkthrough, then plugged in the numbers as noted in the walkthrough--and it didn't work. After several failed attempts, it finally accepted the combo only AFTER I'd looked at the pages (and the ruler) in the prescribed order. That's some hardcore computer security!
I think this is the only time I've ever learned profound life lessons hands-on in a game. the vast majority of actions I saw as mistakes the first time around became huge blessings when I was looking at them with the eyes of experience. I only had one "mistake" I ever regretted, and it was a matter of inconsistency more than failure. ...and I love how the text is the same (backward, line for line) on the return trip--it makes it that much more awesome. :)
This game has such a simple concept, but that simple concept opens up amazingly awesome gameplay possibilities. I loved every minute of it, and in fact came back after finishing the demo and leaving the page just to up-rate it. Well-done!
I love the concept, and the gameplay is fun and original. The music is perfect for the style too. All but perfect all round. Only two complaints: 1) the last fine-tuning can be tedious, although it might not bother me so much if you fixed 2) the mouse controls. In a small unity-box, you lose control as soon as the cursor leaves the square, which makes it very difficult to get to the sweet spot even if you know where it is. Perhaps a lock-in with a hotkey to release? Then it'll be 5.
