Good game. Yes, a little short. There are some more puzzle ideas you could do with the destroyable terrain in the last zone.
I love the heavy blues guitar when you get the gun! Best touch.
Fun game! I enjoyed the process of discovering what the different skills did. I wish I had the option of picking which skills to increase with Training. I really needed someone to get some strength, and no one did. As it was, I almost completed all the ruins, despite it being my first run. And I had fun creating my own narrative -- the super strong lady, getting stuck with all the mowing and digging, while the lazy PR Guy answered emails and led tours (but got punished for slacking with extra guard duty!). I also enjoyed the relaxing music. Hope the real-life digging went as well as my game did!
Level 10 is actually pretty easy: quickly take the first neutral cell by making and cutting a tentacle, then very quickly make and cut a tentacle from it to to the lower-right neutral cell. If you time it right, you'll take the cell exactly. Then make a tentacle from that cell to the neighboring one, and a second one to the big cell. As soon as your first two cells are big enough to reach, make tentacles from them to the large cell too. Then just wait, and you'll overpower the red and get the big cell (you can snip some tentacles to make it faster).
The story was a bit gratuitously depressing. I thought the last few levels were more fun than the earlier few, once it was easier to actually shoot the enemies.
I like games like this, but I hate B.S. morale losses. On the first battle, it was my 8 units against his 1, and I lost due to morale - even though I had had higher morale the whole fight before that! Bull.
