Sorry for all the problems that came with the Trials update. I'll build in a failsafe, meaning if this problem should still occur, you will start a new game with all upgrades unlocked. This should give the illusion that you didn't lose any progress or at least not much. Also, with the reward of the 1st trial, you'll be able to gain many cat levels in just a few seconds :) I hope I'll get the update ready soon and again I want to apologize for any game breaking bugs you and others have encountered
I think I might have excited the game and then logged back in when doing the trial, I don't know if that has something to do with why I'm the only one who got the glitch. Though that's assuming that everyone else did the trial in one go.
I've messed up. When the game is saved, it checks, if a trial is active and saves progress on a different save file, when a trial turns out to be active. This is all fine. BUT: when going back to the Main Menu, the current save file was overwritten with the data of your current game, meaning during a trial your save files could have been overwritten, when you went back to the Main Menu. I've since fixed this issue but I'm sorry about this :(
For total favors, I have 203. Also all my saves are from after I already started the trial so I can't go back to before I started the trial. By restart the game, do you mean I should start a new game?
That's odd. Trials should be saved on a different save slot. I'll look into it, maybe your save files aren't lost. And no, I just meant refresh the game or reload another save, but you've already answered my question. I hope I'll find a solution to this soon! And sorry for this bad experience :(
Also, I'd like to add that when I'm stuck in trial 1, even though it says I have 1 gift available, it still doesn't have the option to ascend to get any gifts so once I max out the favor upgrades (specifically mighty glove) I'll have ultimatley hit a dead end in terms of prgression.
Thank you for all the feedback! I'm really unsure how this can happen. I can't seem to reproduce this issue, it works as intended every time. All I can think of right now is to check how many Total Favors you have (click the statistics button at the top and then "General Stats", it's the 7th line starting from the bottom. If this number is less than 1 (which would be a bug for sure), then the trial can't be completed. If all else fails, restart the game, but I'm sure you already have. Also, after reviewing all the feedback, does this mean you can't leave the trial and go back to your save?
It will have a box asking if I want to gain favors and when I click on it it prestiges as if it was a normal run, then it will have an end trial box as if I didn't complete the trial yet and am just trying to quit the trial. If I click on that I won't exit the trial and I will instead have the trial reset with all my progress gone.
Hey there! I've received your email. Can you tell me what happens when you click the bar at the bottom of the screen? It should open a box where you can end the trial.

The trigger to check if the save file was overwritten was at the wrong position. It should work now :)
