Dude, you should fix arithmetic overflow in your game. I had "infinity" pixels, bought the "infinity"-priced white pixels 600>700 upgrade and ended up with "undef" pixels. That's sad.
You know kong is dying when you have to wait FOR ALMOST ONE YEAR before gems like gemcraft finally show up on front page. In the meantime, all there was on said front page was crappy idle and R2games moneysinks.
I urge you not to start the game. When I did, my antivirus said I have been infected by viruses. Unlike me, you have been warned. Hurry up and close the page. Otherwise, you'll spend hours trying to fix your computer. You are welcome.
To 187izm and zzxxzz3 multiaccounts: I think we should rather remove from kong users who use multiple accounts to 1/5 spamrate games without testing them first because they dont like the dev.
Ah, I see someone is pissed! Who really think anyone with a working brain would enjoy clicking on stupid potatoes for hours? The 30 sec or so it took for me to set a decent highscore was the most funny thing I could possibly enjoy out of this "game" (that's sort of a compliment actually, I'm telling you I had fun thanks to your game ;-) Next time, design a real thing, you know with a plot, actual user input or such, and I promise I will be reasonable ^^ Still I wont blame you, kong standards have been going down recently. Due to unaccountably high ratings from kids, some devs wronlgy imagine that their five-minute writing of flash code is the 7th wonder of the world...
That does not justify, just beating the game using cheats! There is a lot more than 30 seconds worth to our game, if you actually play through you can see what we have really done!
Game idea is not very unoriginal. I enjoyed it for a few minutes, then I met the paywall: starting with level 25 or so, you either need to be extremely lucky or wait for that unoriginal energy bar to refill and try each level a dozen of times. Or PAY TO WIN. Well, I didnt wait, neither pay, still I won. Guess what? On each level, the remaining moves counter is a simple, unencrypted & unoriginal 4 bytes number (just like candy crush!). You know what I mean ;-) Enjoy the game without stupid limitations ahah!
Also, your study would probably benefit from some kind of normal control. People should be able to pass the test before and after the driving minigame, to compare results. That way your test would be more robust and less likely to fail for certain kind of people (like a car dealer, which would probably recognize cars faster than other people).
Dear dev, I really think that your experiment is biased. The fact that it takes more time to analyse and respond to the picture of a technological artifact (vehicle) than a natural object (animal) can easily be explained by other means than some sort of cognitive shortcut induced by videogames usage. I mean, we are biological beings to start with. Evolution made us able to quickly react to *natural* threats like wild animals (eg. wolves, dogs). That alone could certainly explain why people react faster to these kind of pictures. I suggest you replace animal pictures with something equivalent to vehicles in terms of cognitive complexity. Like, I dont know, computers?
Actually, we've been working hard to evolve the F2P model away from P2W and Pay Walls. Would be nice if you'd actually give this title a chance - at least long enough to see that resources are abundant, the energy system never punishes you, and there are no pay walls. Are there elements of P2W? Sure. Competition comes with a cost if your goal is to beat others who are also willing to spend. And yes, you can submit an un-support ticket: http://bit.ly/4kb77v
Send me a screen share. I'll try to fix this. I fixed btw
