Nev, it does reset when you start the the game over or return to the menu. also, what im using is getNextHighestDepth() which gets the next highest unused dpeth, i know how to fix it, it will just take a while and be boring. @ paralasys- o, ill fix that, at Mr- thanks.
thanks PB. nev, its not quite that simple, i do plan to do that. the problem is that each type of tower has a different file, where projectiles are created. so, i have to change the code in each file. theres a lot of em.
Well, its not multiplied by the difficulty. i custom made each one. As for the "doom error", i think iknow hte cause. you see, the maximum "depth" an object can be at is just over 1 million. each time i create a new object, its given a depth 1 higher than the last one. well, wiht all the projectiles and particles and such, it reaches 1 million after 10-15 minutes, depending on what towers you used. now the problem is fixing it.
@ pivot- i plan to make a sequel some day, and the awards aren't broken, they're just hard to get. im afraid I may have made some of them impossible to get, ill test that soon.
@ Nev- Yeah. ive known about the projectiles-dont-dissapear-and-cause-uber-lag bug since i was testing the game 2 days before i released it. Ive looked it over and over and can't find the problem. Its not a memory leak. I think i may know what it is, but it might be a while before i can figure out how to fix it.
Well... Heres some advice. its a LOT better to upload a game once its half way decent, then to upload when its lame and then updates. plenty of people will give you 1 stars and never look back, even if it ends up becoming a great game.
oops, that last comment was supposed to be @ kira. @ julialyn your right, if you could make unlimited doom towers, it would be possible to stay alive forever.
can't. its beyond my ability in flash. i could probably do it, but the way the game is programmed, it would cause loads of bugs that i wouldnt be able to fix.
