Well basically you run around avoind the monsters, untill they locked on you. Then you lead them to the special thingy, wait for them to almost eat you, then you use that specialy thingy and kill them all. this way you are almost guarenteed to kill 2 or more of them.
@leeisateam The speed of the laser does go up, so it is useful to go quickly in the beginning. However it has a max speed cap (which is not too hard if you build reflexes).
@ Metakirbv22 The jump boost is consistent (the more upwards speed you have on the moment you jump, the higher the boost). And pc is (most of the time) easier than laptop because it doens't lag.

Yes the laser speeds up over time, so it is in fact usefull to ascend quickly (I know it starts at the bottom of the screen always, but it still has a speed when you do not jump upwards).
Luck based? No way. I can reach 500m in about 1 third of the times I trie.
Bad random situations in which you can't survive? some, but not a lot. You can use speed jumps even at hights like 500m to jump a lot higher. If you really control the jump, And know exactly what the range of the jump is, you can use it. 725 is my record :D altough it took more than 10 hours to achieve it.

You're close. The difficulty actually caps at 500m.
