EDIT: The lag issue seems to be "solved" by pausing it for a while. I always change tabs while I do it, but after coming back to it after a couple minutes of browsing other sites, it's lag-free again, for a while.
I'm not sure if this game doesn't erase previously played maps and just places a new one over it or something, but I'm getting insane lag for no reason. I can't imagine this Flash game is more hardware-intensive than the other games I play, or if it's a problem with Chrome (which seems unlikely).
tl;dr it's really laggy and I don't know why, which sucks because besides that it's a fun, interactive game.
After getting the Heavy Industry upgrade, this game changes from an RTS to "spam Interceptors because they spawn every second," not that I'm complaining.
I got the hard badge first try, without needing all the recommended gems OR Juliet-S. I had the normal team(3 Shadow Killers, a Devourer), with Juliet-A and I made it to level 30 before she started her melee attack and got everyone killed.
I really enjoy this game; you did a great job and I love your inspiration, MotherLoad is one of my favorite games. There's a few things about it that irk me though. The first and most bothersome was having to hold down Space/Shift while moving to dig. Why the extra step? I keep moving into walls, stupid as I am, conditioned to having to simply walk into it to drill; now there's an extra button to press. The other change is more preference than real issues, but the trading system confuses me. It shouldn't; it's just collecting the right minerals to get your upgrades. I assumed it was a standard buy/sell economy. Also, the different sizing of minerals is aggravating. Instead of having to collect xIron Ore, we now need xTiny Iron Nuggets, etc. You partly fixed this with the addition of being able to split large minerals into smaller parts, but the sizes still seem unneeded. Lastly, it gets too dark too quick and the lit up area looks off due to the short transition. More fading, perhaps?
This one thing was really annoying: When I was in the Coliseum menu, I went to click on the tab in the scroll bar to look at some of the opponents, and the "Support Berzerk!" button kept getting clicked on instead. I guess it's because the area for the Facebook link is larger than it should be and overlaps the scroll bar at that one spot.
Not to be a drag or anything, but I'm not a very big fan of this. There's not very much originality behind it, it's just another Amorphous+ with guns. I mean, you had the normal drone (can't fault you for that though), a Splitter (which shot the same color rounds as the Splitter in A+), the Acid-Filled orb, even had a Spinner-type one, which was eerily similar to the blue one with teeth in A+. Good graphics, though.
Like Barnak said, I love the random name generator, it's priceless. On a different note, I actually like the Bullet Time function in this game, which surprises me to no end. I normally hate slow time mechanisms, so kudos to you!
I really enjoy almost all of the puzzle games you've made, but like specialistol said; a 'next puzzle' button would be great. I've seen one requested on almost all of your games, and it's always ignored.
Is it weird that I spent almost as much time trying to figure out what all the cars were based off of as I did actually playing the game? The Spyder is an Audi R8, the Vernno looks a lot like a '92-ish Civic hatchback, the Laser looks very similar to a '72 Nova, and the G-T 50 (cop car) is almost certainly a Honda Prelude. I need a life.
A little hard to play on a laptop, my guy likes to do 180's when I stop moving with the touchpad. Still a good game though. I mean, look at all those pretty colors!
I wouldn't mind being able to see the affect an item has on your stats when you equip it. Like, if I have 18 WillPower and put an item on that adds 6 more, maybe have it say 18(+6), etc? + if you agree!
I agree with Kaltherzigh on both counts. The "Defend our City" portion is just kind of a waste. All that really happens is either way you lose resources, and it's more annoying than anything. If it was some sort of interactive, it might be worthwhile, but as it is right now, I don't see the point of it.
Working as intended.
