I'm enjoying the gameplay, but I've got one major gripe.
Let's say you're someone like me who cares more about unlocking everything and than actual points. In that case, the only power up that helps me unlock things is the Scout ghost. Playing as a warrior or a rogue doesn't help me.
I'm not sure how to address this, though.
Okay, let me start by saying that I really like this game. It was a really fun way to procrastinate on my finals. However, it is too easy and never poses a real challenge to the players, and there's a simple reason why: The rules of the game are inherently in the player's favor. The human player has more options than the computer: The human can cast spells, while the computer cannot. The human can use symbiosis, while the computer cannot. The human player can regenerate helath, while the computer cannot. And, most importantly, the human has a human brain, while the computer does not. For fun, I replayed, forcing myself not to use any spells or symbiosis, and armed with the strategy I'd gathered from my first playthrough, I still won fairly easily.
Many games compensate for the human having the creative advantage by giving the computer access to more special abilities, or giving them access before the humans, forcing the player to think. Like I said, though, it's really fun game
Thank you for such a detailed feedback. I really appreciate it! I mostly agree with all that you said except that enemy units don't have the regen because they do on the hard settings. In any case I will work on boosting the computer AI and give enemies more options in the sequel. Thank you for the time spend on writing this!
Gem mastery makes it so that the gems are better all-around. More range, more damage, faster firing reate, the works. However, it only applies to the type of gem in the name.
I agree with Yoshi. If the glitch was never meant to be part pf the final product, it shouldn't be there. I don't care how much fun the glitch it. (I'll admit, even I enjoyed it.) But let's face it: I'm sick of games that are too easy. It's nice to see a challenge every once and a while. I mean, normal mode is pretty hard, and I like it because of that.
Don't say a game is rigged just because you aren't very good at it. If you think rationally, it would be harder for the creator to build a rigged engine than it would be to build a fair one. Please, people, the game is not rigged.
Fun game, I'll admit but it's too easy and too long. I could live with the length if it was a little longer, but instead of each new level being "Here's a new challenge for you to face," it's more "Here's more enemies so it will take you longer to beat the game."
New topic of discussion: It bugs me when people use homo as an insult. I actually have a couple of homosexual friends, but those snide comments offend me. There's nothing wrong with any sexual orientation.
Thebored, I'm not going to argue with you on a game's comment board. Understand however, that teaching us about the beliefs of a religion does not mean he is sharing his beliefs. Religion is a part of history, that's all.
There is a difference between religion and religious history. The point is some people believe Lucifer exists. Some people belive Lucifer is the king of the underworld. Saying what SOME PEOPLE believe about him is in no way "sharing beliefs." He is teaching us about religion, not forcing it upon us. Give the guy a break.
Davaniel is sharing the backstory of who he is. Whether or not Lucifer is real is disputable, but that his basically his story. I don't think there was anything wrong with what Davaniel said.
