So I played through it, got all requirements for the first three badges, but I seemingly wasn't properly connected or something, and so I didn't get them....

While micro-transactions are certainly the future, this game is not. Having about a half hour tops to get hooked and possibly be willing to pay just doesn't work out. I work in that industry. All those games that require players to wait or pay have a social component where you can ask friends for help instead, and this game doesn't deliver on that front either. In addition, it's a point and click game, no proper storytelling, no fancy graphics, no interesting game mechanics. I couldn't even think of why I would want to play this if it was completely free. Sorry, but this just isn't a good game.

Aside from the obvious hilarity of the story, I have one major beef with the gameplay: Games like this work and worked in the past because perception is not required to have a chance. If the player has a second to evade a hail of bullets, and he doesn't happen to be a single pixel that by coincidence carries the frame of an aircraft around with him, than it kinda sucks if next to those bullets, he's fly through tons of various, moving, colorful bubbles that he actually has to hit instead of evade. The Bullets in this game are very hard to distinguish from the resources you have to collect, and they are hard to make out in front of the screen as well. The upgrade system, on the other hand, is nice.

... On the subject of that one Hero and his Adventures, there's been so many good and often not even hard to implement suggestions for the last game; basically every of the highest rating posts had something to be taken; faster Animations, the unnecessary clicking on the chest after winning a battle when there is no the choice to not click on it, and the nice, but slow and complicated layered inventory. Some might say a game needs interesting decisions, others prefer a challenge of skill, but waiting or clicking on things that you have no choice to treat differently kind of waters down the rest, the great core. Aside, there'd be a lot to be said about improving options in combat; Why not cap stronger attacks at a certain %, or make light attacks easier to clock? Add a bit of variety and tactics to what is otherwise aan obvious choice? Again, a good game, but it didn't reach it's potential.

I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed. The first game was a good one, which I was again reminded when playing it again last weekend, and I was sure hoping to see a worthy successor. However, a "worthy successor isn't just more of the same; as with every game and any sequel to anything, and be it a car or TV, the new kid on the block is expected to improve; As time goes on, everything is getting better by learning from the past. Revenant is by all means not a bad game, but it just isn't quite as shining as I hoped it to be. While you improved the Defense quests considerably by changing them out for something else, the new tactics mode has it's shortcomings, too. While managing one or two heroes is an addicting game mechanic that can keep the fun for days, if not weeks, outfitting a small army kind of detracts from the rest of the game. ...next post

So after the old saves are gone and the new game is out, I figured I play it again, painfully slow as it is. Now it just so happens theres the choice of good or evil, and I thought I'd take some time to think about it, and get a drink, and when I come back, the firewall has done an update and shut down the browser. Ok, no problem, theres Auto-saves! But NO, there isn't. The story mission is just gone. Which kinda means I'm stuck now.... and have to do the last 4 hours again. I don't know if I want to do this again just for some extra options in revenant :(

I know this is the third time me posting here, finally figured out the donation stuff. I just found a pic of Ginny on your site, is there a way to get that in Wallpaper-Size? I'm literally thinking about printing it out and putting it on my wall. Man, that really went on my stomach.

I heard there was a voting on the ending? What was the result? Is it still in progress? I sadly played the game on another side, so if it requires to finish it... hell, I'd still play it again. *spoiler* I would have voted for Ginnys ending if possible. How could I chose any other, knowing that the person that gave up the most to make ends meet, and my favourite character, is slowly and painfully dying, alone and deserted on an unknown planet? */Spoiler* Also, is there a way to donate?

I saw the special ending before the Ginny ending, and thus the last one kinda feels more official to me, sadly. I don't know, it's not only terribly sad, it kinda made me depressive for a day, it's also a lot more emotional. The problem with the "Super Happy ending" is that it's a cop out, like an achievement "you unlocked everything", it lacks the strong narrative of the other endings. Maybe it just lacks those nice close up pictures. The one from Ginny's ending is just stuck in my head now. Damn. Please make a sequel. I'll wait for it. I'd pay for it. But if you never planned to, and don't know how to continue, thats fine, too. Take no risks. Thank you for this experience. It cost me a week of my life, but I am grateful.
