I personally would have prefered a style of play that allows you to win the game without using the sword, and thus, without killing any of the relic guardians. This, if it were made like that, have unlocked a secret ending, perhaps pertaining to Goreback and Sardol. Oh well, the game was great even without this. 4/5 due to collection quest, which is a personal peeve of mine.
@muurf: Make sure you have ore available, either by having ore rigs set up or by collecting artifacts. Without ore, all makers are is very expensive decoration. Great game, so good that i'd already bought and beaten the full version.
Nice game, I like how, if you strategize, items are almost irrelevent up until the final boss. On a side not, do NOT read the following if you haven't completed the game.
OMFG, did I just fight a super saiyan!? Cause I just got spirit bombed, and holy sht did that hurt.
I had whole minutes, and it took me three minutes to kill it the first time. Seriously, disrupt undead combined with a silver sword does like 1000 damage to it.
I am not even close to being done, and yet I must say, this is one game I really like. Everything from the music to the battles struck a nostalgic nerve. I really wish some games were still made this way. 5/5 and I hope chapter 4 comes soon.
Good God Loki is hard. Excalibur and Odin with lvl 60 shield and attack, and i was on my last legs by the time he died (on about my 30th attempt).
So hard(at least the optional boss), but not unbeatable. Great game, very addicting. 5/5.
An easy way to defeat the shadow gate/shadow lord is to use a gladiator/arcane mix.
Make sure you grab the abilities that increase armor, health restore rate. and health stealing from gladiator, and grab scorch, focused mind, blink-step, energy siphon, and arcane pulse.
While fighting the gate, stay in the lower left corner and spam scorch, using energy siphon when energy is needed and using arcane pulse to keep the spawn away. After he is defeated, run away from the shadow lord, using blink-step to get ahead and ast a quick scorch, energy siphon, or arcane pulse. Rinse and repeat, and you will win the battle, possibly without even getting hit.
Congratulations! You just won the Renewable Rocket Fuel Fanatic Badge and 30 points!
Oh YEAH!!!
To win it, you need to get close to $3000 on the first run, the fuel tank helps with this alot.
After that, get the fuel sucker, the upgraded fuel tanks, the radar, and the emergency rockets, in that order. Spend any extra money, then head to Mars.
Excellent
A trick for laggy computers: If you know that you're strong enough to survive without input, right click while firing and scroll down, the lag will disappear.
Awesome. This is a great parody of all the games that have needlessly convuluted upgrade systems, and yet is strangely addictive and fun at the same time. 5/5 man!
