This is an amazing game for just a flash game. Theres a lot of depth and the challenges had me going quite a while, just finshed them and stuck getting my last two Diamonds. Can't wait for your mentioned sequel with more management aspects.
One thing I really like is the differences in the characters and how they all have their specialities, hopefully you stick to this in the sequel rather than the Xcom style faceless meat shields that you go through at a high rate.
Woods needs a serious buff though, he's pretty much useless, the two +accuracy shouts rarely ever came in handy, just the AP one. I think he needs something other than shouts, perhaps a special weapon, some form of fancy grendae (not explsoive as that's Pierces thing) or defensive ability like projecting a mini 1 square magnet bomb type effect to deny corridors. As it is he's just a weak Blake I felt. The rest of the guys are great though and all fit a nice niche.
Other frustrating things. The camera gets yanked out of your hands every time you restart to scroll the map for a few seconds. Seems nothing but gets so frustrating when you're restarting for the 30th time. Also when you've two towers with two soldiers and two enemy coming through, they'll both jump the first one and let the second one through.
Seems a nice game but the difficulty curve is all over the place. Level 3 is a kick to the teeth unless you place towers in a very specific way, then you get a string of easy levels.
Much of the frustration seems to stem from the archer towers not targetting what they really should. They routinely ignore flyers and runners to pour arrows into high armour targets the ground units tie up. Not to mention they won't target the closest unit to the base which is a standard of tower defense and for a good reason.
hi vaccine, check my second walkthrough for level 3 : http://www.menaragames.com/misc/drwalkthrough/dorwick just put many soldiers, also can solve the stage, no need to be too specific. With knight or Tor this is just a demon-killing-field.
Finished the game, but the clues didn't really seem to match the ending story. I don't know if I just missed some (if that is possible) or it was just badly written. Okay overall though, 3/5.
A colour blind mode (perhaps Letters or Numbers on corresponding blocks/teleporters/dotted lines would be a great addition for any sequel/update. It wasn't impossible without though, just required me to test each teleporter, painter and block finish square to see which fit where. Green and red aren't great colours as green/red colour blindness is by far the most common.
Fun game though, quite challenging, 4/5.
I'm having a problem with the game. When I defeat the Catctus King, I follow the path and open a metal door. After that the game screen just goes black and I can't do anything.
The light system is interesting but becomes mundane very quickly. There wasn't really any difficulty either which made it get boring quite fast, and the choice of towers were fairly uninspired.
3/5
Also how do you get the master achievment? I cleared level 100 and there was nothing else to do it seemed so I just used wings to save it, but it doesn't give me the medal for defeating him.
Great game but too easy. Needs a hard mode, I used wings a couple of times in the first 20-30 levels and then did the next 70 on the 3rd play through with no danger of dying.
Was AFK for most of this game. You can set up a maze with enough punch by about 10 levels in and then come back and check it every 2-3 minutes to spend your cash on more lazer towers. 3/5
