The more I play this game the more I am enjoying it, I'm just curious as to what is better, saving for the packs that cost 750/250 or just spending it all on 150 packs. The 250 one always seems to give just 4 commons and a rare :P which is worse than 150.
Thanks for the great feedback! Imho it depends what you currently need, for new players we would recomend start with the 150 Packs and veteran players the 750 or 250 golds, bear in mind that the 250 is the only pack that has 4 cards completly random so it can be a bit crappy or it can also contain 4 legendaries!
this game really loses its touch when you start making exactly the same bridge every level. like this /\/\/\/\ with supports over the top and walkways on the bottom
A) the mana resource is very basic, all infantry/tanks etc. and buffs cost exactly one resource to play and spells can scale to use different amounts of resource. This means that every card in the game either has to be of equal power eg. 4/4 or 3/5 or that half the cards in the game have to be imbalanced and give massive advantage just for drawing said card early. B) You cannot pull off combos consistently, the reason being that all your cards are shuffled into your deck from your hand and redrawn next turn, this means you can't hold cards that deal damage to enemy, or save situational units that deal damage when they enter for optimal situations. This limits the game skills to knowledge or card value (which cards are better than others) to put in your deck and knowledge of optimal trades (killing your opponents creatures more efficiently than he/she) I feel this makes the gameplay less rich than other TCGs good examples being Magic the Gathering or Hearthstone.
Hey vin111! As you progress on the game with more cards available to you (items, orders, planes) you can see different strategies. We both can agree that the game is different to Magic or Hearthstone. The 3-point resource system tackles an issue that most card games have, the first turns are always slow and you have reduced options. On this game you are playing on full potential from turn 1. Decide between play new units or promote existing ones are always a hard choice and opens a lot of different strategies. I'd love if you have the chance to play a bit more and see the different options that you have during the game and why we choose these game systems but we understand that we can satisfied all players/game styles.
so if you are interested in how to actually win, for the first level you want to be able to walk forwards and backwards with buzzsaws, that is enough. For the second level you want to use the repeating rifle (connect bottom chamber with a fuse valve set to 60) and the top one to steam. and also connect crouch to the control valve, then just crouch to avoid his bullets and fire with your rifle over time. For the third level (perhaps the hardest) use a cannon (use a fuse valve set to 60 also connected to a steam tank) and a jackhammer and crouch to avoid bullets, you only need to fire one shot in cannon and then let him come to you and he will be destroyed by jackhammer (use jackhammer with a alternator valve set to 50). THE FINAL LEVEL is quite easy, i used one jackhammer and crouched to avoid bullets. Hope this helps. Remember to set fuse valve/alternator valve with the spanner tool :)
where are you? i dont see anything but a yellow sword in the sea of pixels?!
This reminds me of playing halo for the first time with the invisible elites wort wort
I find that for every level, even spaced walkways with an upside down 'v' above every one, then joined across the top works best. I was a little disappointed as it worked for almost every level..
winning, easily (with virus):
1. restart game until disease starts in Madagascar
2. sell start symptom and buy waterborne and airborne disease spreading
3. buy tier 2 resistance on everything
4. accumulate points and wait for disease to spread (prey that it spreads before ports close cause if it does :( game over)
5. dont buy any symptoms yet, youll need enough points to but them all in one go once the disease has spread to every country
-Sneezing and coughing: Spread your disease around faster.
Fever: Increases lethality
Hemorrhaging and kidney failure: These ones are expensive, but deadly.
Don't bother unlocking Tier 4. It costs too many points, and you can do just as much damage with the symptoms in the first three tiers.
6. If youre getting like 70-80+ points buy a few more resistance tiers
This doesn't work every time, there is no way to get it every time. but this seems to work pretty well...
if you start in madagascar, you also have to make sure they dont close the ports before youre disease leaves :(
the only way youre getting the impossible badge though is if you start there.
