Interesting enough. Balance is a bit odd, and it's fun seeing aunty chucking out melons faster than a freakin plantation. Scarecrow is a bit too much though...
Fun game, but some things are not right. The area tower final upgrade is way too expensive. For 1200 you can almost get a full basic tower, which does way more damage. Also, the missile-tower is weak compared to the cost. It only fires slightly further than the normal tower, but only in straight lines. Revert the area-tower to a slow-tower, missile tower for area damage and you're going somewhere. Game is a bit easy, but a good start. People, you gotta be kidding me. Carpal? I never use the mouse, only on stray critters that got through. Just hover the mouse above the critter and it takes damage because it moves; no need for rapid movement. Other than that, rely on your turrets, not on your ink. Upgrade rather than build new ones, keep in mind critters go fast when heading down and slow when heading up, and this game is rather easy. Amateurs! :)
The basics are there, but you need more mechanics. You need different enemy ship patterns. They all come down in some formation, but don't do anything that's NOT predictable. Different types of weapons would be nice, like ripple laser, straight shooting stuff or shooting sideways, missiles, that sort of thing. Heavier attacks that are actually hard to dodge. The comment about the hitbox is excellent (thx Fireseal).
But, you're doing better than most!
This game is excellent, but very short. I like it a lot!
My only gripe is that the abilities are not very zombie-ish. Replace Sonny by some Warlock or Magical Warrior and they fit just as well. Where are the mauling, biting, poisoning, sliming, regenerating, grabbing, tearing, moaning, brain-eating and tons of other things zombies can actually do? I hope that the powers in Sonny 2 will actually make us believe sonny is a zombie, in stead of a green guy using magic. The zombie part is only used for the story, and not for anything else...
