There seems to be some sort of glitch that's preventing me from getting my defense rewards. For example, it says that I earned and collected 2 mana orbs, but when I check my stock, that doesn't seem to be the case. Again, it'll tell me I've collected 1 warp crystal, but when I investigate... guess what? No warp crystal!
Is anybody else having this problem?
Well, cheapo98, "28 Weaks Later" was the sequel to "28 Days Later", and the concept of starvation among the infected was relevent to both films. HOWEVER, while both movies were zombie-film re-imaginings, neither one contained any actual zombies. The infected antagonists in those films actually STILL-LIVING human beings who, in addition, did NOT eat human flesh (or anything else); they merely attacked and killed without intent to devour.
What's more, according to Romero and Romero-based cannon, zombies are compelled to eat their prey due to instinct, though they do NOT actually digest what they eat or gain any nutritional value from it. After all, they do not have a functioning digestive system. Thus, a zombie's intake can not impact its chance of survival or prevent starvation, if indeed they can starve at all. In the Return of the Living Dead series, brains are merely a painkilling agent said to ease the pain of being a sentient rotting corpse.
This is wonderful, and what made it even more charming was that, by coincidence, I decided to make this my last game of the evening before turning in for the night. Those who make it to the end will appreciate the sentiment.
KonekoKeita, of course there are women in the future; who do you think mops up the arena after the fights? HAR! Seriously, though, just how politically correct did you expect a post-apocalyptic world of bloodsports to be? Then again, maybe I'm wrong, and maybe the conspicuous absence of women is due to the Lady Mutant Killmonster Union being on strike.
Still, when have men and women ever competed against each other in full contact sports? So really, why WOULD there be women?
I had an ally get stuck between my character and and my quarry. As a result, nobody was able to attack and my only option was to refresh the page and continue from my last save. If this is a problem that the developer sought to address in his last series of bug-fixes, I'm afraid that the issue is unresolved and must be revisited.
Nullvoid:
Thanks for your response, and adding a little blurb like "click ESC to cancel" on the game screen could prevent this confusion in the future. FYI, the previously mentioned "dead end" tends to occurr when you have enemy targets with the "stealth" status (which prevents them from being targeted by actions or character abilities).
There doesn't seem to be a way to cancel an action once it has been selected. For example, if you opt to use energy to lower a target's attack, you can not proceed until you click on a unit... even if there is no unit to attack! In such a case, you can not even end your turn, and thus, you are stuck in a defacto "game over" scenario. This is a serious error that the developer could and should fix with ease. Otherwise, it's a very good game.
It seems that there is no way to remove items from your inventory without leaving the level and recycling them. This is a real problem because it renders you unabe to pick anything up (such as superior items) once your inventory is full. If there actually is a way to perform substitutions, it is not clearly explained anywhere.
Once again, the Pastel Games label upholds its reputation as the hallmark of quality for point-and-click games! Not only is this latest offering rich in beauty and creativity, but the thematic concept of gradually compiling a story and being able to see the product develop is truly innovative. Easily, this game earns its 5/5.
Very well done! Just challenging enough to be fun, but seldom frustrating (I'm happy to say I never once turned to help from hints or walkthroughs)! Don't get me wrong; there were times that I wandered around for a while just scratching my head, but in my opinion, there are enough clues provided to find all the answers with a little effort and deductive reasoning. I eagerly await the sequel!
You've got to be kidding me!!! This morning (before Mardek 3 was uploaded), I was WELL into Mardek 2, and had just fought "zombie-Moric". Now you're telling me that all those hours of progeress are deleted?! Well, it doesn't look like I can load anything I saved before, so that certainly seems to be the case. Please, please, PLEASE tell me that I don't have to start from scratch.... because as good as this game is (Very), I don't think I could bear to do so.
P.S., I'd just add that the title is something of a misnomer. That is, it's called "Willow Tale", but there isn't any discernible plot that would constitute a "tale". For that matter, I didn't see any willows, either.
Please bear in mind that I say this without a hint of malice, but with all due respect, this isn't a game, is it? It's really more of a paper doll program with a moveable background.
Granted, the dynamic of moving the environent in lieu of moving the character could be an interesting idea if explored within the context of an actual "game". However, this particular effort may not be the best vehicle for innovation. It might be a good idea to scrap this, go back to the drawing board and practice the basics, first. If you have to wonder whether you've made anything useful, you probably haven't. There's nothing wrong with painting pictures of making interactive art (provided it's of good quality), but that alone is not sufficient criteria for a game.
Outstanding! There simply aren't enough turn-based combat strategy games being made (especially relative to the glut of TD games), and this one is a real winner! The orbital dynamic is a really nice innovation, though it's certainly not all that this game has to offer. Indeed, the whole package shines, and this is easily a 5-star project: well wothy of a bigger-and-better sequel!
