For cargo missions, upgrade weight reduction, boost, max out main engine power, and try using the basic head. You cut a lot of extra weight doing that, and you won't be using the head anyway.
Seems you don't actually need to get all other achievements to unlock power mode. I unlocked all but Space Ace and for some reason got the 100% medal anyway.
I had a graphical bug where sometimes segments of my minion-elephants' lasers would stick around after they had been fired, just floating in midair. Nothing gamebreaking but sometimes ugly. Also it seems like you stopped at a strange number of points once you've maxed out the tree. It's okay that you can't max every skill, but I would've expected the totals to stop at even levels, not some at 280 points and others at 270, so I wonder if that was intended. Still a 5/5 from me though.
eagle eye perk + shotgun seems to be a way overpowered combination, as soon as I got that I breezed through all of the remaining missions effortlessly.
The chainsaw seems way too underpowered compared to when I played long ago. I'm trying to upgrade it to a point where it seems like it's even remotely worth using, but even doing that is frustrating. Right now it seems like there's no reason to even buy it.
If you intended for every task except for the front desk to be automated with an upgrade then it needs a valet (seems rather random to include every task but that one). The last few levels are just clicking through to the end regardless and feel a bit pointless. I never had a problem hitting the goal though, not sure how people are managing that.
There should be a counter to tell you how many of the 'good' endings you've actually experienced so you know when you're done exploring paths. Other than that, it's a bit short but awesome, good work.
The only thing that really bugged me was the fact that it wasn't clear how much damage the frag bomb actually -did-, since it didn't tell you how many projectiles the burst created. You kind of just had to go by feel to decide whether it was better than the weapon you were using at that upgrade level. Also Younguns, no, it just always implies that it's upgradable when it isn't, which is probably something that should be changed too. It's only upgradeable if you haven't unlocked all the weapon slots, and the first craft doesn't have any more to unlock.
Way too short. I took 24 days without even trying and that was at least a week more than I needed thanks to saving up instead of spending so I could go out in one big bang.
One of those games that made me stick with it until 100% completion. I think the interface for assigning survivors to a project could have been improved as it can be a bit clunky scrolling through and assigning everyone you want to assign, but other than that it is close to perfect.
Great little relaxing time-waster. I'd like to see objects have pull on other objects, just a bit more complexity to the sim aspect you know. You don't need to make it more 'game' like, I think it's fine without any combat or economy aspects.
Why do so many devs insist on using the z key for control, and then fail to at least make it interchangeable with 'y'? QWERTY might be what's used in the US, but millions of international users are on QWERTZ instead. :/ Other than that, great game so far though I haven't finished it. I like the dark, creepy atmosphere.
Chiming in with those who want more control options. I'm on a qwertz layout (Germany standard, same as qwerty except z and y switch places), so games with controls like this are annoying to play, even as fun as it is.
Yeah, it's impossible to win unless you have a little strategy ShadowmancerLord... That's a good thing. Most in this genre you can win without even trying if you're fully upgraded, here you at least have to put a little thought into it. What's the point otherwise?
Also, I found the hard badge easiest with the least durable hull as it's the smallest (and if you get damaged you've lost anyway so what's the point of durability?), avoiding almost all boosters unless I'm ABSOLUTELY stable in the middle, and collecting safe fuel, though I still made it with a bit of fuel to spare. The beginning is the hardest, you can often fail from sheer luck because of the low viewing range.
Another great game, although I dislike the addition of enemy respawn. One of the things I loved about the other installments was the sense of completion in killing -everything- on the map. Respawn doesn't really increase the challenge, it just makes it more annoying to go back through areas you've already been.
Not all of us outside the US have keyboards where z is next to x on the bottom row. It'd be nice if you took this into consideration, letting the y key do the same function or something. Kinda makes the game extremely awkward for me unless I change to the qwerty layout.
