The horizontal acceleration of movement is ass. You can only max the upgrades if you put zero in "homer" and wait until you have enough to get everything else and then buy the homer all at once. Otherwise the homing missiles will keep you from hitting the planes and make you run out of time i.e. fuel. Free flying simply means stay in air for long enough. It's a minute or two.
Hey, let's have turtle boss that will INSTANT KILL YOU. Yeah sure, after I have gruesomely pulled out your front legs you become more powerful. This is all bad game design that will force the player to consult a guide.
Press B to blow yourself up. This counts as an explosion when it kills an enemy and does not count as a shot. You can easily kill the final boss by repeatedly blowing yourself up next to its face. Self-destruction > grenade launcher.
Here's a guide: *PUT YOUR STAT POINTS 4 ATTACK AND 2 DEFENCE. *Always trade between neighbouring cities. * 1. Easy badge - sell some profitable three-digit goods until you get enough arch exp from having 10k cash and spent 30 days game time i.e. 10 to 30 trade trips. Then go to the achievement page found in the town menu bar thingy and you should get your badge. Other badges: 1. Get the best ship early as it helps you collect party members. 2. Trade diamonds. 3. Rescue workers and fire poor ones until you have ones with 4 attack. 4. Buy uber gear with your diamond money and blow through the quests (the easier faction). P.S. The max ATTACK stat of the party makes winning fights especially against cities much easier. You cannot raise main char's stats.
An enemy hits me with a projectile, the character flinches and the game completely hangs. Great job, guys. As if having ranged enemies playing keep-away wasn't already cheap enough.
I do not like this Nintendo hard wannabe difficulty. E.g. time trials where even optimal plays leave you with barely a second to spare and gameplay that quickly becomes a roll fest as cheesing the AI with invulnerability frames is the only make to make progress with any certainty. Even with best gear, the end boss is super cheap with heavy damage moves and insane damage tolerance. Make more content, not artificial difficulty.
Non-smooth framerate even in "low" quality, related input lag and no incentive to finish the game. It's not the 1980s - make up a goal other than chase the edge of the screen.
An easy way to get the hard badge:
1. Buy .50 cal platforms until you have six men.
2. Once you can afford a platform and you are at six men, sacrifice your non-platformed soldier and place the platform. If you go over six, airstrikes will start and one-shot your platforms.
It's too easy to miss-click a connection, making the thing connect with air instead and leading to those instant bridgefalls. Even when I know this and try to be pixel-accurate, I still manage make supports that look great on the plan and in reality behave like soft swinging d**ks.
The game is down and broken on Kong for over four months to promote their current paywalled version of the same game and as soon as it is suggested a badge of a day, it magically fixes itself in no time. Corrupt as f**k.
Save games work only every other time, so (double) page refresh often. The memory leaking is so major (gigabytes per chapter) that you are better of refreshing between the chapters anyway.
