Oh, so you want 8 human eyeballs? I have some right here. Good thing I've been ripping them from the heads of the people I murder before meeting you. You know, for fun.
Level 42 is just bad. The worst is the middle passage, because it's hard to even properly practice it with the blocks regenerating each death; but there's several places in it designed not to challenge the player, but simply to kill him. I never felt that in any other level. Overall, it was a fun time, though.
Questy is an odd guy; he'll try charge through any monster, even whilst ill-equipped, to get a bag of loot, but a gem nearly the side of his head that's one foot to the right? Nah, not worth it.
I wouldn't mind if the swap key were also/instead the Shift key. It feels more natural, and fits the hands better on a laptop keyboard with a touchpad. Other than that, fantastic game!
Very smooth. I like the way the square turns as it jumps, and the way that incorporates into the jumps themselves. My only complaint is levels that force the player to make a jump almost right away, but then wait a short time if the jump was successful. It leads to many cheap deaths that aren't needed to preserve the challenge.
Personal suggestion: the Power Attack (which isn't explained at all) should allow you swap between two color tiles for the whole combo, not just change once. It would add a lot more to the "strategy" element that the game claims to have.
Feature request: Extended bonus clubs. Woods could sub for faces and a driver for an Ace. It stinks to have a full and useless golf bag because only faces are in playable spots. Also, if buried cards were a bit more obvious. Some holes have only a smidge of the corner covered, making them unplayable, but you cannot tell until you get there that there's other cards you also need to play away.
Is it coincidence that the most popular kid in school cuts out of class early and doesn't get to his next class when the bell rings, or is that part of his appeal?
I cannot help but find it amusing that the developer does not have the Hard badge for this game. Is further proof needed that perhaps Jungle Brook is just a bit TOO randomly cruel?
I don't know if this is "easier" or not, but in the Tower of Glory it's possible to drop back to the left after hitting the switch for the Ace, allowing you to travel the easier left-hand path up to the top. Although it took a few tries to get it down, once I did managed it, it was clear sailing to the top for me in only one try.
Serious comment. Bug: The boost can be used when boosters are broken if not all charges have been spent. Also, the quests are so random and often annoying. Usually, I'm doing far better than they require of me; since I can only have 3 I'm faced with purposely crashing just to get a few more. "Hit 3 birds". I did that on day 1, thank you, why should I do it again? Then, many days later "Hit 5 birds". Seriously? The fact you can only do the active ones, the ones allowed are random, and only 3 are active at once are all issues.
The game has an erratic pace, as well as odd physics. In one level, the first bridge held but a later one did not. After altering the failed bridge, the first bridge failed despite no alterations. The challenge mode is terribly slowly paced. Just getting to the 40m bridge is a trial in itself; consistent 5m steps would greatly help this.
