I never understood how bosses become stronger as they get damaged. Do they have extra weapons hidden inside so they can only shoot when parts of the ship are already destroyed?
SO ... MUCH ... TEXT ... Don't get me wrong, it's surprisingly well written, but the game sometimes feels like a comic with some short minigame along the run ...
It's WAY to easy to accidentally buy something when browsing through shops. Other than that incredibly awesome game. Liked part one already but this one is gold.
I don't mind big puzzles per se, I find playing them quite relaxing ... like embroidering or so XD only problem are the plus-puzzles where you really do need to see the whole thing to know what is where.
just when i started to like the game (graphics are epic and gameplay ist interesting) this Hope system screws me over.
"Abandon all hope, ye who enter here"
Level 20 is BRUTAL, beat the game on second try though, enjoyed it pretty much. Being stuck at the end of a level with nothing but an orange fighter sucks, like, a lot, I don't know how that could be fixed easily, though.
For those struggling with the boss: Dodge his first bullets. Then when canons rotate stand exactly below him to dodge those ones, too. When he stops shooting run away, cause he will drop to the ground. When he dropped you can shoot him exactly once, any more shots won't hurt him. Repeat four times and you won. Can be done easily without being hit even once, but you even have enough time to try to get to the boss with as many hearts as possible if you are unsure.
Almost got the hard badge before the medium one ;) Nice game, challenging without being toooo frustrating, regrinding old levels is necessary but doesn't feel like grinding because it is really a new challenge every time. At the last levels i kinda wished for a secretary or so to do the clicking for me so i could keep my eye on the grand scheme =D
Some random observations:
The achievements that only give you 5% speed (700 spawns for example) slow the mid to late game down considerably, you can pretty much sit on 600 titans till you have enough power to buy 800. Spectres get incredibly powerful thanks to the 1100 ghouls achievement, and stay that powerful for a very long time: more than half of my 6.5 duodecillion power per second come from spectres, and there's still a lot of waiting to do for my cerberuses (cerberi?) to take the p/s lead when they reach 900.
Ohes noes..... run away from energy systems that keep games alive and food in the developer's bellies.
