I didn't start a new save but I did take my civilization to a new universe and started over that way. Admittedly the truths I had learned speeded up things a bit but at least to me the new startup feels a bit too fast. I had half a dozen worlds join my empire in the first hour, and was buying upgrades by the handful rather than deciding if I should invest in vision or Force next.
I switched level down and then up again rather swiftly, and suddenly I had no enemy ships at all. Some bug that messed with their reinforcements I suspect.
Not that I want to be nagging or anything, but checking in over and over again without any change is a bit disheartening. I reckon that you are busy but could you drop us a hint of what is going on? or when we might see 0.1?
That isn't nagging at all, good to hear from you. Sorry for the late reply, I thought I was checking back more frequently in case of replies. I wasn't actually sure if anyone was checking back so I didn't set aside time to give an update on progress; I was waiting to be closer to releasing the newer version before I did (have definitely been busy). v0.1 is ready on the code-side but I felt it was kind of redundant having a 3D game with boxes as placeholders released; therefore, I have put it on hold while I am doing some 3D art courses so that I can make some more appealing placeholder models before releasing v0.1 (final models I will eventually pay a professional artist to create).
EDIT: Progress report announced under the 'Update' section; sorry it took so long!
Smelting Varos ore produces Khoran Ingots. It could also be that my master of the forge is just that talented... Hope you are making progress with the rebuild. Any chance you can give us a hint about how it is going?
Ah thanks for letting me know, that should definitely not be happening. Progress is being made with the rebuild, I have been very busy so I haven't gotten as much time as I had hoped to put into it in my spare time but the next public version shouldn't be too far away.
Alright, two more smaller (?) issues.
1) the icon for population growth is wonky, sometimes it is red, sometimes it is not, and not always related to growth being disabled/enabled.
2) After building my first colony since I got academies I still have them. No idea if they are active but they are still listed among my buildings. Can't make new ones though. Cheers
The actual escape game is pretty good. Nice enough graphics, puzzles not horrible but still takes a little bit of thought. Plowing through three separate levels of advertisements before actually seeing the game... not popular, and lowers my score accordingly.
There is a news item talking about the cold and formally dressed heralds of Keisin, the Paragon of War. Think he may have gotten his job description confused somewhere along the way. According to the newspaper that particular god is Kaamos, and I doubt his heralds are so polite.
Hi, thanks for confirming accuracy, you are definitely correct and I will definitely make sure it is that way in future versions. Currently, while the game is not balanced in the intended way for future features, I have left it to only consume a tin ore instead of using both copper and tin for now.
Nope, definitely a bug, whenever I use my magical non-storage taking lumber to upgrade something my available stockpile goes further into negative values. currently at -60 meaning I can store 90 items before it is full.
Thanks for the bug report, that is definitely not intended behaviour; I will have to track down what could be causing it. I have sent you a private message asking about how to reproduce the problem, if you don't mind setting me on track to fixing it.
Clearly I was missing something. For some reason I cannot explain, it seem like the level 10 tier 1 stockpile does not count lumber when it runs inventory. This fixes my problem that I wrote about earlier, but no idea if it was intentional.
Thanks for the reports! I have just tested and realise the cost of the next Tier is 58, I will be adding a hotfix in a couple of minutes to fix this. I am not sure what you mean by "does not count lumber when it runs inventory", I have tried testing buying/storing lumber at max capacity but it does not let me if the stockpile is full.
In order to upgrade the stockpile to tier 2 you need 58 lumber, but a maxed out tier 1 stockpile only holds 30 lumber. Unless I've missed something that leaves the upgrade perpetually out of reach. The development of the stockpile to that point is also rather slow, perhaps add 3-4 space for each upgrade instead of 2? (4 for the later, more expensive levels)
EDIT: I had not realised T2 was costing 58 for structures, I will release a hotfix in a few minutes to fix this issue. As for your suggestion - the Stockpile's Tier will increase the capacity and amount of space added per level for the Tier's Level upgrades as well.
Don't know how it looks later in the game, but a function I wouldn't mind seeing is a target value for a resource. say that the woodcutters will stop chopping down trees when you have five logs in the storehouse, giving the lumberyard a chance to catch up.
This is a planned feature in the near future. You will also be able to build multiple buildings soon. Thanks for the suggestion and trying the prototype of my game out!
Some of the upgrades don't work. First gold mine upgrade did nothing, I'm pretty sure that the Market upgrade was the same. And no amber for resets, these are some rather big bugs for a new release.
For some reason the game doesn't quite fit in the flash window for me. That was not a huge problem until I did a prestige reset and could not progress, probably on account of the button being outside my playing area. Also, it is spelled Congratulations (T, not D!)
Nice game, both the strategy involved, the "gritty" world aestethics and gameplay. I find myself getting stuck at the point where I need cerbrium to advance further. In a response in comments you say that cerbrium can be earned in the arena, is this only from PVP matches or can it be earned as a reward for AI matches as well? Have not had any luck with any of my fights so far and I really do need more cerbrium to progress. And whenever I try to find a pvp match it just stays in "search mode" until I get impatient and go back to beating bots.
Hey Winthrow,
cool that you like the game.
- You can get some Cerbrium in the PVP matches (the spezial Lootboxes). with the newest update (today), even if nobody is online the A.I. jumps in.
- You can get some additional Cerbrium with the achievements.
- Once you played the last mission (for now) theres a new Arena where you get Cerbrium as Loot.
The latest update did something strange with graphics for me. Check-boxes are in the wrong place and it is impossible to import because those buttons are completely outside the window, no way to scroll down etc.
Yeah. I know. I added the tutorials _and_ sped things up. I need to slow things down and turn the tutorials up a bit.
