The artwork is great and the story seemed cool, but combat was slow and clunky. I'd love to be able to dodge stuff that's flying at me and do more than punch.
I was thinking as I clicked on this game to play, "man, this genre is getting really old. wouldn't it be nice if I was supposed to knock the blocks off instead of balance them?" and lo, you've done it. Nice job, I want to see more!
The game DEFINITELY needs a pause button. Also it'd be nice to be able to mute that incessant music after the 300th time it's looped. I'd love to see some sound effects in there, too. Check out freesound.org!
The grind is pretty tedious, but it's a good time waster. I think with some polish this could be a great game. Nice start Wackiedk!
Great game once again! One tweak that I think would performance would be to, instead of having all of the buildings (power plants, for example) flash an icon when they use or create resources, flash the icon of the resource to show that its being increased. That way when we have like 50 power plants the game doesn't bog down every ten seconds for that huge wave of flashes.
The game is really slow. I wish there was a way to go ahead and send the next wave without waiting. Also being able to adjust the sound and quality settings through an in-game menu would be nice.
Could have used a little more instruction. I didn't realise I was supposed to be hitting the repair button until like day 10 until I read the comments, hah! Overall, though, this is an excellent game! Neat interface and unique art compliment the silly pirate music. Also, the credits sequence is pretty fantastic!
I dig the game, but it could definitely use a little more depth. As it stands it's fun, but there's little substance to it.
I like the use of cover, though, and it really separates this game from the rest of the many, many stick figure shooting games.
It was pretty cool up until the "strategy" part of the game. Make sure you read the directions carefully and move quickly, otherwise you'll be overwhelmed and forced to quit. A way to restart or, you know, LOSE, would have been nice.
I thought it was a bit repetitive. The "Press SHIFT to stop Billy from (going crazy/disarming/whatever)" sequences didn't really make sense to me, I could never get them to actually stop me from doing whatever.
