Even though it is your first game, please give the game a better icon and description. As a game developer you must realize that game development, is not just about programming. The publishing part is just as important as writing good code, and having a good UI. (User Interface). If you are not taking all parts of game development serious, please do not upload your game to the Internet. I do not think you toke this game serious, because of all the important, missing elements. (Too few sounds, ending, gameover screen). I think you though of this game as a great learning experience, and that is just okay. Sometimes I also put time into projects, that I know I will not upload to the Internet. As a first game, you did okay on this one. I like how you made the last two enemies move in circles and how they would only shoot, after you shooted at them. The game was too short. You could easily expand on this game. 2/5.
To easy. It would be nice if the game was more customizable (who starts, difficulties, rows, columns). I like that the game can be played on different languages. 3/5.
Part 1: Good chess engine, it is fast. The game needs more displays and settings. It would be nice to know how strong the engine actully is (Elo rating) and to be able to choose between white and black. (It would be better than black and white switching each game. Imagine a chess player who wants to practice playing with black. Should he click twice on 'New Game' everytime he would play a game?).
Part 2: I like that you can take back all your moves. If you can program that, I bet you can program a setup position function too! It would be nice if you could replay a part of a chess game, but not the whole game. (This requires to be able to move for the oppenent, but that problem is already solved by a setup position function). A display, that shows all the match moves is also necessary, else a serious chess player would never use your game. Since you can redo your moves, you probably have stored each move, so this solve would just be to display the moves. It is a good, fast chess engine, and I will definitely return to it, and play it more in the future. 3/5.
If you aren't so good at drawing make a idle text adventure. Here is a example: http://www.kongregate.com/games/LUKK3/the-idle-rpg?acomplete=idle+text+rpg
1/5 very bad game. You could improve it alot: 1. Users can change their mouse cursors, so users plays with different mouses in different sizes. Prevent it by having a custom mouse cursor in the game. 2. I couldn't even get past stage 1, so I tryed cheating with right-clicking. When rolling over the goal nothing happened. You could improve the game by preventing the right-click cheat. 3. The lost game function dosen't seem to work properly. Please fix it. I get game over even before I started sometimes. Also when just started it seems that there goes a while before I lose by touching the walls.
2/5. Could need some polishing. It's annoying to should click on the typing field and that you can mark all the text, exept for the text that's falling. Shouldn't be able to mark any text, I think. You could give the input textfields focus when clicking the 'Start' button, then there would be no need for the extra click. Improvements: 1. Level display all the time. 2. Score. 3. Focus input textfield all the time. 4. Words instead of sentences and no names. 5. Something happens when typing wrong. 6. Bold text fixing (shouldn't be bold when deleted letters).
Every time I load the game, it begins to streams all the sound files, so a download page popup asking to download the files? Also there is no working sounds in the game.
I have now changed it so that the arrow keys can also be used to direct the ship. I am not sure yet how to change it so that the controls are re-bind-able. As for high scores ill see what I can do! Thanks for the feedback. =)
3/5. Good game overall and original idea. I think it could need some expansion; something to use the coins for. Maybe upgrades you could buy between levels? Also I think it takes to much time to advance to a higher level. You should advance when won 2 or 3 games and you should get a option to reset the level for a amount of coins (then they got a function) because this would increase the rate of game over. Also it's annoying that when you advance, only the crabs speed increases. In all levels crabs always makes perfect decisions, it's just a matter of speed. On early levels the crabs should be able to make bad decisions. The rate of making bad decisions would then decrease, so not only the speed of crabs changes when advancing, like; 15% standing still, 15% going to wrong direction, 15% hitting ball bad, 15% only getting halfway to ball.
Great effects, but they just dosent fit to the game. It just hurts my eyes and gives me headache so I want to stop playing - I dident even past the menu screen before I began to fell bad. 2/5.
Thank you! I'll be sure to make it like that next time! (Just need to find out how :P)
