when i beat the arena the part of the Psychosomatic Exhaustion badge awarded for that wasn't ticked off. I told kongregate about this and they were kind enough to award me the badges. Unfortunately I have yet to beat either of the superbosses which is a shame considering how big a fan of the series I am. I have the badge but I don't feel like I've earned because, well, I haven't. I won't really consider myself to have gotten that badge until I have beaten the superbosses. But they're so difficult!
@macco_binh go to canonia and have a look around. There is a dungeon you have to get through but once you do you can enter any dream circle and you will also get one of the best characters in the game
@Stovic just so you know the inventory is, in many ways, brilliantly designed. There IS a sort button if you had bothered to look for it. The individual inventories is probably due to the sheer amount of items in the game. It also makes it easier to manage individual characters. Yes there are no labels but honestly aren't the graphical icons just much easier to memorise? Besides look at the inventory where would the labels go? Every single one of your suggestions has either already been put in or has a much, much better idea already in use. There are no WASD controls because its easier to use the mouse. I can only imagine the amount of time and effort that must have gone into designing the menus and making individual pixelated icons for the dozens of items in the game.
@Darth Knoll yes in fact after fighting four trilobites i have two. the chance of getting one is pretty good compared with most other weapons received from monsters. There is actually a trilobite warrior nearby a save point which isn't hard to find so I'll let you find it yourself. If you don't get it keep reloading until you do.
@GrigoriFederov I'm pretty sure you can buy silver ore in aeropolis but be warned its expensive. You get the silver axe from an enemy a bit later into the game. Getting al items from silver ore is entirely possible.
SECRET SHOP SPOILER. I don't have sheet music II either and I have 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. I'm not too far into the game I've only just beaten the fire temple, and still feel proud of myself for beating the saviors. If your looking for sheet music try the magic shop in goznor. Theres a portal to the dreamrealm there with a 'secret shop'.
@yellowcheetah your house in in the bottom left corner of the village. You clearly didn't spend much time looking around. Good luck with the complicated strategies required to play the next 2 chapters. Your going to need it.
I think the four and five star buttons are two close together two in every three people click the wrong one. That really should be the only explanation for this game not having 5/5 stars it is truly the perfect game. I can't believe this isn't the highest rated game on kongregate Everyone with the sheer amount of free time required to play it will tell you its the best out there. I've played many PS3 games that weren't nearly as good as this and would happily pay ten even twenty Euro for it. Pseudolonewolf is the undisputed king of flash RPGs and he's ONE GUY.
This is a brilliant game. Anyone who thinks its a bit short play the next two chapters. The second has at least 10 hours of gameplay and 15-20 hours if you try to get everything. Think thats long? the third has at least 40-70 hours of gameplay and some people have reportedly play for 100+ hours across the whole series. I kid you not the sheer amount of gameplay across the series is simply mind boggling.
Still losing? Maybe you don't have good enough armour or weapons. Maybe you skills arnt good enough. On the topic of skills you should try to master every skill you can. Obviously not EVERY skill since thats more or less impossible but as many as you can. if you level is too low or theres some skills you need to master just leave. There are plenty of sidequest to do which often give you some very powerful equipment.
saviors help
It seems a lot of people are having trouble with the saviors. Indeed they are one of the most difficult bosses in the game and almost impossible if you don't have a good strategy. Before the battle make sure you are fully healed and have you best abilities and weapons/armour equipped. As for the actual fight take them out one at a time. Defeat aalia first as her healing and shielding abilities will make the battle a lot harder. Next up defeat Bernard he has some pretty powerful magic attacks. You might think you should defeat vinnie next but when bartholio is the last one left he goes into berserk mode, often killing your teammates in a single attack. So kill bartholio then its just an easy battle with vinnie.
im stuck on a level with psychopath. its not baron brixius or any other bosses people seem to have trouble with. Its the level after you meet felicityagain with the caretaker and his two blood hounds. No one has given me any problems so far but this guy is just wiping me out. can anyone help?
Can anyone tell me how raising instinct helps your allies? I chose the psychological class and rely on it completely for my attacks. I literally put 0 points into strength and had very powerful attacks. However I don't see how it helps your allies. They use strength for physical and instinct for magic attacks maybe? In fact is instinct just a fancy word for magic?
attacking yourself then healing can level you up but its one of the most ineffectives ways of doing so and only useful for quickly mastering skills if you want to level up find some strong enemies you can easily defeat or do any side missions you might have or just continue with the storyline
this game definitely should be sold for money. I've bought many PS3 games nowhere near as good as this and would definitely pay at least 10$ for it. the guy who made this surely deserves far more than wht he got
darklordiablo i think your tip would probobly work better for most people. i wanted to get rid of vinnies annoying status afflicting abilities so i left bartolio for last. his berserk didnt cause me to much trouble as i got mardek to throw up a shield whenever he got the chance. bartholio also missed a lot and i managed to kill him with everyone alive. still anyone reading this I would advise the strategy i suggested yesterday except kill aalia, then bernard then bartholio then finish off vinnie as darklordiablo suggested.
