I love this game except for 2 little points.
The missions seem to be really out of whack with the rest of the game. I beat the game long before getting the highest rank after completing only 25 or so missions. I had then only gotten to 35 by the time I had highest rank and enough money for all the upgrades, makes the rewards for missions a wee bit pointless.
The other thing is that I REALLY wish you could disable upgrades. I got to a point where I had the 400m in the car in one go and the 800m in total missions, so I bought the car but I don't always want to use it. The same for starting team members, I'd want to disable them for specific missions.
I used the walkthrough to finish as I couldn't figure out what to play or the telephone number to dial. Where there clues to these in the game that I missed?
Great game, one of the better launch games out there. I had occasional lock ups that erased a few launches worth of upgrades, a little annoying. My only other gripe would be that maxing out top speed makes you too fast for the magnet to catch anything, I'd normally max out all upgrades for the hell of it but after maxing out top speed I've gone from 2.5 - 3K per launch to 1.5K :(
Great game, really enjoyable and the dialogue is brilliant. I have to agree that the gold rewards are far too low to make it interesting to max out all the upgrades, that's a shame as I love completing things.
I've completed the game a few times on all difficulties & I check the shop multiple times after every mission. I still can't find the second spear, am I missing something?
Needs an upgrade to make getting the coins easier, a magnet or whatever.
I think it would be a lot better if it had some character, it's just rather dull. An animal or person on the balloons and some varied enemies would make it a lot more playable.
Also the 'Balloons Up Power' upgrade seems to do a great job of killing me off quicker due to the increase in assent speed at higher levels, almost every balloon I get throws me straight into a bomb or 2 as I shoot up.
Why is the upgrade menu only available from the bottom? I don't want to purposely lose all my balloons every time I want to upgrade.
That's enough constructive criticism from me :D
OK, dull game, little of interest and nothing particularly original. So why on earth would anyone pay for it?
I REALLY hope Kong isn't going to make a habit of this new money making idea or they'll be losing a lot of fans :(
I'm afriad I have to agree with Hellacia as well. This has the makings of a GREAT game but it needs some more rules for the placement of objects and buildings. Few people will enjoy a game where the outcome is so random and not much down to skill. 3/5 If it can be made less random it'll be a 5/5
