programmer/designer, you really need to find a way to prevent the annoying situation where your skull is near the border of the playfield and your cursor is outside of the game window so you lose control over the skull and possibly die
Just completed the game. For the last level on epic mode:
----------Preparation-----------
1) bring as many melee units as possible, make sure they have a lot of raw damage, their health may be low, and make sure they are all upgraded to max level.
2) make sure you have the shield spell.
----------Fight-----------
For the first minute or so, just camp at your base, let your units spawn. As soon as you see the oversized yeti appearing, rush him, but let your heroes stay at base(so you get more unit spawns because they won't die). Just before you get to the yeti, use the shield spell. You won't have enough mana to keep up the shield spell, so a lot of units will die. But there is a place under his feet where you are safe even without the shield spell. Eventually, you will kill him. Once he is down, all that's left to do is kill the base, and watch out for a couple smaller sized yetis.
how I completed level 17:
1)First of all, kill the castle. Should be easy enough.
2) Boss: Use elf hunters and Angel Soldiers. Continuous angel soldier spam is the only thing that worked for me to make him stop moving.
----------
Level 18:
1) First of all, kill the castle. Should be easy enough.
2) Boss: killed using all three heroes I had spammed continously: Red Dragon, Angel Soldier, and the elf hero
All you need to beat the dragon is the Divine edge damage boost thing. This strategy worked for me:
- upgrade sword three times before upgrading armour, use your starting elixir if you have health issues
- from now on, keep upgrading your armour if you have health issues, don't buy any more elixirs or sword upgrades
- buy divine sword asap, don't use it yet, keep it for dragon
- keep upgrading armour if you have health issues until you meet dragon
- when you meet dragon, use your divine sword thing and you'll most likely get the achievement
but ofc, you need some luck to be able to do it like this :)
I love the original concept, however, I was hoping for a little more interactivity in the battle, or at least a speed up button. It's a nice concept, I really hope you make a sequel to "fix" some of the things that can make it even better. 4/5
To game dev: "NOTICE THAT THIS GAME IS ABOUT MASTERING THE GAME MECHANIC BY YOURSELF. THAT’S WHY THERE ARE NO UPGRADES :)"
Now, I am a big fan of skill games, but I am also a big fan of upgrades. It's not because you have upgrades, that you can't have a challenging game. One doesn't stand in the way of the other, although often it seems like it. The key is to design your upgrades so that the player doesn't feel that he has become stronger because he got the upgrade, but he might just for example have a new skill to master. New skills make the game more fun :)
I remember playing endless war as a kid. Was one of my favourite flash games. But I'm not sure if I like the way you're going with the vehicles, I think I liked the previous endless wars better.
You're right ! I'm already working on that for the sequel.
