@greywolf2001ca: That is the point of Quests, and then Daily Quests. Unless you have already reached a level that makes Nostalgya seem like noobsauce, which I doubt, there are always Quests available. Also, hacking and slashing is only part of the game. Helping with the wiki or interacting with close others is the other part. Join a guild or something.
I really wish I could get rid of pick-up tips that I receive from others. Some are actually worthwhile, but others are just... wtf. Then again, I guess it's all part of the game.
Guys, you might notice that if you click 9, you will see a level with a couple of hills, springs, and several squiggles set in a pattern. You may also notice that just after passing the lab owner in level 1, you can SEE that level in the background, put, as far as I know, exactly the way it is. It's incredible that you went through such detail, past the zooming in and out, all the phasing, and the water is epic! I can't wait for this!
Okay, guys, there is a way to play this game fullscreen. Remember that every time you click on an option in F.U., you're going to a new page, even though the URL remains the same. Therefore, just drag "Go Play" or any option into a new tab to play it fullscreen. The only problem with this is that you must come to Kongregate every time in order to load the game, because automatically going to "fantasyuniversity.net" does not work. + this if it helps!
If you place your mouse over a troop unit, you can see at the bottom of the description that there is a "level 2" for each unit, but I have yet to find a way to upgrade them. Anybody?
Also, is there a place to download the grindable version of this game (eg; the new version where you can repeatedly enter levels)? There are older version out there that let you only enter a level once. Just wondering.
I think that the "Funfair Fanatic Badge" should be moved up to impossible. Why? Well, look at both of the hard badges. The "Vortex Vanquisher Badge" has 8000+ completions right now, while the "Funfair Fanatic Badge", worth the same amount of points, only has 1000+ completions. The difference is obvious, as the second badge takes tons of skill. It's pretty hard to kill 10+ monsters per turn with an AP limit of about 50, and going up even further would require a hell of a lot of grinding. + if you agree with me.
@bddcuda I don't think that the developers speak English all too well. Looking at the credits, they all have Chinese surnames, and even though the English editor had a more western name (Paul), there are still a lot of bad points in the grammar. Unless you speak Chinese, they aren't gonna change the game. -_-
@Qman20, both paladin and epic war took the music from either the Newgrounds Portal or a Soundsnap website. They have the sources listed in their credits, and this game states that the music was made by Kevin MacLeod. And the clicking sounds are available basically anywhere dedicated to programming flash games. They didn't steal anything, trying clicking a few more times before accusing them.
Everybody should be aware of something. The statistics after landing count the amount of stars you collected. However, all space stars collected above 60M altitude count in the statistics as 5 stars each because they give five times the money, but the badge only counts them as 1 star each. This means the flight statistics can show something like 300 stars collected, but in reality you only collected about 70. Please keep this up so people will know!
Objects spotted: Changing colour in the background, smiley face expanding and shrinking, THE GAME, fireworks, and a flying toasted. Not necessarily in that order, either. :P
I honestly had no trouble at all beating the campaign on hardened mode. All you have to do is get grenades and sent both riflemen and assault teams down the centre. When you come to an enemy, even if it is a tank, there's a pretty good chance the grenades, if spammed enough, will destroy it/them. When you reach the enemy side at the centre, you automatically win. Took me 15 minutes to beat the hardened campaign.
This is an incredible game, made by the same person who created Mastermind: World Conqueror. I saw that this has only been played about 7000 times up until now, but it deserves much more than that. The storyline is really funny, and it's a really epic platformer. 5/5
For a game so Canadian it's got a hockey stick weapon and translations in both English and French, I was expecting the measurements to be in metres. :P
Some of these things are too complicated. I received an effect item called the black pants of protection, with a +1 protection, and a +2 protection written in purple, which must be it's effect. Couldn't you just put it as +3 protection?
@Sdlonyer, he already has made a second one. :P Also, 1948 is not very hard. First of all, you just need to lead one plane in a straight line constantly letting out gas, and the other waving back and fourth in front of it to lead the three faster planes, including that turtle, into the gas. Continue this until the three planes are dead, and then there's the Flying Wing, which, if you played 1943, you know that one plane is to circle around as the decoy while the other gets behind the wing to shoot it down. For the flying wing, you should fly the shooting plane in low speeds behind it and the decoy plane should fly at higher speeds in a circle. Hope this helps.
