Too many times now, my game progress didn't seemed to save properly, despite game itself claiming otherwise. Saw this happen after auto save, saw it after saving manually.
Each time it looked like game remembered progress from the few hours BEFORE the save point.
What to say. Game forces us into grind-fest. As if it wouldn't be enough with limitations like "One recruit per day", there's "Tired" status, to God forbid us from trying to grind, and on the way get money to buy better rifles.
Of course, this links nicely with fact that classes we have at start (which is mostly engineer) hardly can use majority of weapons offered. So we're stuck with default gear.
I won't even mention how some of the rounds are pretty much chance and luck based. Like capture the flag. Since that bit appears in all of those types of games.
Concept perhaps was good, but I definitely think you're trying to artificially increase longevity of your game. This ends with terrible bleeding sensation for me.
This would be pretty well-done and fun game to play. If not that unreasonable pricing set in it.
Not to drop mocking lines, but you know we aren't meant to spend weeks on flash games, grinding, no?
Game is fun, but you hurt yourself by implementing that scary amount of grind. A lot of folks might get just bored/discouraged at certain point of leveling, and thus never get to see some of the game content.
Ahh...something us older folks can appreciate..cheers to Amiga times.
Here are two handy terraforming tips: 1. To get more of the land recovered from water in less time. Pick a water tile and do a double 'increase' in same point, you'll create a hill..now with last click, do a one 'decrease'. You'll get a nice and clean 4x4 flat. You can apply same idea when leveling bigger mountains.
2. for those that don't know how to clean burned land and other junk nasties littering our soil, either increase/decrease the contaminated spot, and flatten it back. And since I'm such a nice chap..don't like that Fire Pillar burning your village? Quickly decrease the land bellow it to make some water..poof..gone.
So, what happens at team composition screen when some chauvinistic bastard would like to create harem squad?
Some people feel awkward with single-gender groups :0
Reset skill button would really help.
That aside..I'm not sure if the armor bonus works properly...does it stack at least?
Cruiser hull with 3 top armor utilities and 3 points in that skill. And still it felt like I'd have no armor at all.
Credits..key-cards..terminals..and infestation. Atop of familiar "shoot doors to open"
It's like old Alien Breed from Amiga all over again.
Good times :)
I'm surprised, and really pleased, how many people remember Alien Breed ( The Amiga version that is, not the mess that was the recent ones ).
Thanks for taking to time to leave a review mate.
Well..game doesn't seem bad..I'd say it would be rather enjoyable.
Why "would" ? I won't blame the author for wishing to earn a buck, but there's definitely too many of those "pay for" buttons. Leaves somewhat greedy image.
And in whole honestly..if I would had such amount of money to spend on this, I'd rather go and buy some serious 'real' game. No offense.
For sure. If I decide to flesh out this prototype, your gangsta status will be challenged!
