The "Dummy without one hand and leg" achievement is confusing. Am I supposed to -only- have one hand and one leg missing, or does it count as long as I have those two parts missing? Having only those seems too difficult. I severed every limb and it never gave me that achievement.
I think the repair function shouldn't require a set amount. I feel that it hinders the player when they need a crucial machine repaired, but are ten resources short, and it costs them the entire machine. It should just allow the player to put whatever resources they do have into repairing it. Repair cost should be less than or equal the player's available resources. Other than that, good game.
A very simple game, but a game that still offers a little bit of cute challenge. Some of the levels you had to think slightly to get through, but overall, it was the little space where the words would appear that got me. It was a very cute game, the only thing I can think of to improve is... More levels? Though it being a short game is really sort of part of the game's charm. Also, unlocking things after beating the game? No complaints here. 5/5!
Awesome, glad you enjoyed it! I thought about adding more levels, but wanted to keep it short and sweet. When everybody is satisfied but they wish it was longer, I think that's the perfect length :)
Alright, new review for this game. At first I had difficulty grasping the concept, but as more grids were unlocked and solved, I started getting the hang of solving them. Now, that is not to say that it still does not present a challenge. There is still much challenge and I find myself stumped at times while looking at it, but not to the point of being frustrated. The game is very well done, and has rather cute graphics and a pleasing tune to go along with the actual puzzle solving. Definitely worth spending some time on. I look forward to seeing more like this.
Thanks for your review! We´re glad you gave the game time to grow :)
We´re working on a better tutorial for one of the possible next installments, so that players new to nonograms will have a better entry.
At first I thought I understood it at the second level. Then the third level came along and I got so confused, but eventually thought I understood again. Fourth level came along and I just guessed through it.
I'm clearly not doing it right yet, but I will figure it out. From what I can tell it is a very nice game, with a good concept. It will just take me some time to crack it for some reason. O-o
Make another game, add more of a difficulty curve next time, with more options for upgrading and units. It's a very short, but solidly fun game with an idea I've never seen before. Great concept, I hope to see another game like this from you in the future.
A quality option would really help with this game... As for how the game plays out, it is a very fun game with an interesting battle system. I'm usually not one to like turn based games much, but this one is pretty good. However, the part of me that loves RPGs doesn't like how little there is to actually upgrade. That's just a preference of mine though, I suppose. Also, a "Restart battle" option would be amazing, for both grinding purposes and to reattempt certain trophies.
This was really cute. A good, short game. I thought that the game was going to be longer, but the length of the game doesn't take away from it's quality in this case. It works well with what is aiming for, and I don't see any issues that make it less playable, so for me I will give this game a 5/5. With your next game, perhaps try something a little more ambitious.
Also, for any who don't already know this: Some units capture buildings while others destroy them. KEEP THIS IN MIND. A destroyed building can't give anyone benefits, but a captured building can but could be captured by an enemy.
There are many grammatical errors to be seen, though that is a very small problem. The thing that really takes away from the fun of the game is the fact that units are very difficult to control. Drag selecting them doesn't always work, and they often become deselected when you try to make them attack an enemy or structure. Still, a fun little game to pass the time. Improve the control had over the units and you'd have a 4/5, but not being able to control lowers playability, giving it a 3/5.
Two more things that could have been improved: The hiring function, it should include a firing option for accidental purchases or just for lowering costs. The second thing would have to be that I am not too sure whether having more numbers but low defense and attack is good, or how certain combinations affect each other. If I have 50 high leveled zombies, and I add a few lesser zombies, my overall attack and defense shouldn't take a nosedive. If anything, it should add power. Attack obviously is the damage that can be done, defense is obviously how resistant to damage the army is... but what about size of the army? How does that come into play?
Please, please make more. Amazing potential in this game. I think it would help to have reminders in the game for how each item affects revenue, and I think a section devoted to total costs and revenue would help immensely.
Upgrading system is a little weird, especially since a more powerful weapon (like a grenade launcher) is actually less useful than a weak weapon, when you have to constantly jump to avoid attacks you can't see. Also, there appears to be no save function, got on to try again only to notice all of my progress was never saved.
5/5 for an interesting, creative idea that I've not seen before in other games, for the gameplay, and for the fact that an actual story was attempted in this game. However, a blocking option would be great, and it takes a little while to determine exactly where a kick or punch will land, leading to the player missing a lot of attacks. Apart from that though, great game.
Also, enemies should be introduced before they enter the wave. It would be nice to know that an incoming enemy will ignore traps, or if an incoming enemy has more speed, etc... So that players can actually adapt instead of getting screwed over.
I'm kind of confused... It has a "Recall: +?? Psi" (the ?? being any number), but when I click it, I don't get any Psi back at all. Am I just missing the real point of the option?
I feel that there should be a quality option for those of us who's computers lag when this game is played. Apart from that, a solid game. The levels in the beginning are too difficult to complete without repeating several times with upgrades each time, but the fact that it almost encourages failing makes up for that slightly. I'd say, to improve the game, a better difficulty curve would be needed, as well as upgrades being a little more difficult to get. Information on the upgrades would also be helpful. While some upgrades are common sense, it is still good to know the values, so that the player can balance out what they feel they need for the particular level they are having trouble with. 4/5, since the troubles with this game were not nearly strong enough to keep it from being an entertaining use of time.
