I believe games need to be rated on their conveyance as well as sound, graphics, etc. Conveyance is the manner in which the player can figure out the gameplay without pop-ups or instructions all over the place telling him how to play the game. This game gets a 0/10 for conveyance. As a relatively straightforward game, I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to click the mouse and chop with my sword without 35 pop-ups telling me "the right way" to do everything. Literally, I just clicked on the right side of the screen for the first survival level and got a 300+ combo without getting hit once.
I'm about 10 minutes into the game, and so far have had virtually nothing to do but click. Is this a point-and-click version of the anime Gantz? Really feels like it.
I *almost* enjoyed earning this badge today by seeing how fast I could boot those customers out the door. Step one: a couple quick sharts of batter into the cups. Step two: whizz right by the oven, completely ignoring it. Step three: make two big spires of chocolate frosting by just spazzing out on the mouse. Step four: Hand the customer what looks like two cups of dog poop and watch them grimace and tisk a finger at you. Hey, they always come back for more! Masochists, every last one of them.
Oh hell, another tower defense game. Passing on the badge for today, that's for sure. Quit after 2 minutes, mainly because it's so condescending to watch the game hit you in the face with dozens of pop-ups "Click here to place a tower!" "Watch your status bar here!" "Don't bother learning the game on your own. Let these pop-ups force the instructions down your throat!" "Click here to wipe the hero's ass"...etc
Just wanted to mention this... your "Best deal" option under "Add tokens" literally costs US$2500. That is a down payment on a rather nice car, or it is tokens for a point-and-click card game built in Flash. Hard to consider that a "best value"...
Pretty, but this game is so horribly generic. Oh look, the blond, blue-eyed, handsome, smiling protagonist from every other RPG wanders around with WASD keys attacking anything that moves. Yawn.
I love this game! Only one problem I've encountered so far is that the game freezes in battle #15 if all four red guards are on the train tracks when the train arrives. I do love the idea of that event happening though!
I managed to unlock the cave west of the castle early on (the plot of the game heads east). Anyway there is the challenge arena there after the first level 23 battle (it is challenge #7 of 8) and the battle doesn't load. Just a heads up.
