Not just wealth, everything breaks down after 1.0e308 - I'm spending infinite amounts of metascience right now.
Going past 1.0e265:ish wealth generation resets your stored funds to "NaN qc" and your income to "Infinity/s". Can't spend money on anything since the game doesn't think you have any money.
