Welcome back! While you were away for 2 years, your swarm produced:
1.91192 quadrillion hives
5.49068 septillion greater queens
33.6342 decillion nests
2.67191 unvigintillion meat
90.3470 trillion larvae
37.0211 undecillion territory
117.133 thousand energy
Level 19 is impossible, in the technical sense. Either the webs or the spiders mess up the game so much, that the flash engine just refuses to accept my mouse input.
I would suggest to let user use arrow keys and/or 'A','D' for the left-right thingy. I found the mouse control annoying enough not to want to do it. The game itself is a nice concept.
I like the game. The idea is original and I am one of those persons, who loves randomness. I dislike repetition but I love adaption, adapting Your game style to counter the randomness of the board is superior to just repeating a known set and min-maxing the outcome.
However, one suggestion. I would ask for better highlight of the newly opened stage. If the screen has 50/50, one gets confused and needs to use more brain resources to find out, which stage is the one I want to play now. (The brain processes information in this order: color -> shape -> text)
Some usability suggestions:
* better upgrade usability for heroes (ever tried to assign 300 points ? on 3 heroes? )
* better upgrade usability for buildings (max upgrade or whathaveyou, same problem as with heroes)
I absolutely loved the AI. Nerfing it would be a disgrace.
I picked "hard" on my first map and never changed it to anything less.
Also, I kinda figured out I can send less than 100% after I finished the game.
This means the game is very playable.
Don't change anything!
Except if You plan to add 100 billion more levels, then that would be fine.
Very nice game.
There is a nasty "feature". When You build Your buildings on the bottom of the screen, the "remove" button gets to be drawn behind the screen.
So basically, the most bottom buildings cannot be deleted
Thank You for the quick response.
Negative energy itself is not a big problem. Rather, the game doesn't explain "what now" once You are out of fuel. Some mention about it would be nice. (I am once again running around and battling rock, so I'm fine)
Here I am, in space, my energy being -75 and counting down, no fuel. Cargo full of good stuff, no pirates and I'm wondering "what now?".
Do I have to restart ?
Edit: Turns out, putting autopilot to "off" made my ship's energy regen.
Also a few notes. Game is good, needs more polish though.
The font doesn't work. It's hard to read and my eyes hate me for playing this game so long. Probably works for titles, but definitely not for text.
The UI needs a bit (or even a bit more) touch. It's currently ... clunky. A bit more softer edges and maybe softer colors. The colored statusbars are quite fine.
The stars are... funny.
Gameplay itself so far is nice, but then again -75 energy takes a bit to regen, so I haven't been anywhere yet, but I'll get there.
Keep it up, nice game but You can make it better.
Further more, some thoughts on shortcuts.
"esc" to close dialogs (as noted, I for one have problems hitting the "x")
"1,2,3" for speeds (1x, 3x, 5x)
"space" for pause and since openin dialogs goes into autopause "space" to "accept" or "confirm" the dialog.
That would make some stuff very easy.
It would be very nice to have the "esc" close the dialogs.
Really miss that functionality, my hand just misses the small "x" so many times, the game is making me frustrated.
A few suggestions
* Briberies could do with diminishing returns (the last 1% is more expencive than the middle 1%)
* Make bribery % expire.. like forexample loose a few or more % per day
* Bigger shipments probably need more mobs to guard them (need more mobs to be successful)
* Bigger shipments need more police bribery (ie the police has a chance to get involved, the more so the higer the ammount of the package)
Those are the few thoughts I had during the first 15 days
Thanks!
