Wow! I can't say it often enough: The story writing is MAGNIFICENT!!! I really feel drawn into story as it unfolds and I'm eager to slay the next same old beastman (it does get boring fighting the same foe over and over again) just to see how it continues. Very well done!
And now the game froze 2 more times on me, where I was unable to play a card no matter how much i clicked. I could only leave battle. This series of crashes has cost me 115 energy in total!!! I demand a rollback and I'm sure many others would like that too!
If the game already has to crash then at least give us a energy restore! I was in the midst of a hard brawl when the servers went down without warning!
Yes, yaddah, you will need 3 Draft packs and 3 Gold packs to participate in a Draft match. You'll be allowed to keep all the cards you SELECTED from your draft packs, and all of your Gold Pack cards as well.
After playing this game for a while I think that the devs should change the energy system so that players can play longer but less often. As it is now u have to come back to the game every hour or even less to time the level ups correctly. If energy regeneration was to be decreased and the maximum capacity enlarged people could play for 2 hours and come back the next day. It's less frustrating and it's fairer for people with jobs or less time. I like how the energy system works in Spiral Knights. Or u could get rid of the energy boost on a level up and compensate this with some other reward like more dragon coins, more gold or an even higher energy capacity.
Thank you, Yaddah - appreciate the feedback on this, currently your maximum energy and energy regeneration will increase as you gain levels, this will allow you to play for a much longer period of time and much more often, but we're always looking for ways to improve this system. =)
I'm not sure, if I received the daily reward. I clicked "claim" and the window vanished and that was it. Didn't tell me what was inside the chest. Is it supposed to be like this?
Hey Yaddah, try going to your inventory and checking there, you should see your chest on that screen and you'll be able to open it and claim your reward from there. Hope this helps!
@Gelgarin: I don't think the energy system is that bad. If u time ur level ups correctly u can play for an hour or so. And if it's true that energy regeneration increases as u level up, it's all good.
Appreciate the feedback, yaddah! It's true that maximum energy and energy regeneration will both increase as your character gains levels, allowing you to play more often and for longer. =)
One of the good things about this game is definately the stroy writing. It's full of images and emotion, almost like a novel. For that alone this game deserves a high rating, as most other games' stories are cheap, dull and repetitive.
And also the coins are way to expensive: One of these virtual booster packs with only a chance to contain a legendary costs 10$!!! I would never pay that much, nor do I want to support a money greedy game.
So u only get dragon coins from leveling and buying? That restricts legendaries to paying players! Not good. Especially if there's so many other things to spend dragon coins on.
Hey yaddah, you can gain Dragon Coins from leveling up and crafting through the crafting page with Idols you gain from logging in daily, you're actually able to experience every portion of our game without spending money if you don't want to, (Legendary cards also drop from drafts btw) it will just take a little longer. Hope this helps!
All of a sudden Internet Explorer closes and restarts as soon as I start the game. It worked fine yesterday. Does any1 else have this problem?
And no I don't wanna use Firefox cause it sucked. When I switched to IE my browsing experience improved. Don't wanna go back.
Seriously, why do we Kongregaters have to pay more for the same amount of cristal energy, than other players. Is it because Kongregate gets a portion of the value transfered when we use Kreds? If so, then this is a big NO-NO!! If I knew this from the beginning, I would've just used Steam. But as it is now, I don't see myself supporting this game ever. Which is sad, cause it's a really really good game worth supporting! I love the cartoonish design, the gameplay and most importantly the F2P game model they use. It's SO much better than that of other supposedly free games, where you have to pay to get access to the really cool stuff. + this so that they may adress this issue.
@fomor10000: What you are saying is that every1 who doesn't like the game must be a game developper himself or he isn't allowed to have an opinion on it??? So from ur perspective there are no bad movies or books at all, since you're probably neither a director nor a writer. It's a shame that you can't even criticize a game. All I did was point out the numerous obvious flaws and within minutes my comment gets downrated below threshold. A real shame. Why can't people leave other opinions as they are? Why do they always have to press + or - all the time?
Ok, this is simply a bad game. It fails to inform you about what each skill does (in detail) before buying it and about how hard a fight will be before you try it. The AI is totally stupid and does things like casting silence 2 times in a row and not using their attack spell when it would kill me (I managed to win 2 fights like this in the beginning). The fights in general are extremely easy and repetitive. On some paths you have to fight the same enemy type over and over again - after the 8th time you kill that same beast creature you just wanna leave and play something else. And even different enemies don't require different tactics. I buffed spell power whenever I could and all I had to do to win ANY fight was Attack - Blood Siphon - Attack - Blood Siphon - Attack - Attack - Blood Siphon and so on. Boring! All in all I would say the game is as bad as it looks (the graphics were apparently made by a 10 year old). 2/5
Oh, oops. Didn't realize you have to buy a skill to open up the skill tree. The game seems to be kinda fun, but the art... man! Our character looks like some ugly Son Goku in a vampire suit. Terrible!
