the last 6 games I've played (5 of which were PvP), I've gotten terrible draws. Something along the lines of Empathic Bond, EB, EB, FFQ, Rustler, EB, Emerald Pillar. I haven't been able to play anything for most games until 10 turns in when I finally get some pillars. And yet over half of my deck consists of pillars...
Kemister: There is no best element. Many are good for mono, such as Aether and Gravity. Others must be mixed, such as Air and Life. Personally I started out with an Air Firefly Queen strategy and got a full AFFQ deck before I faced my first AI2, and with no losses to boot.
