Really enjoyed this game and I can confidently say that this game is very much beatable without using a single potion (although it makes it a bit grindier)
Just to gloat about my personal misplaced determination for meaningless achievements: it is 100% possible to finish the game using only 1 animal, said animal being of course the minotaur with a +6 critical egg. While it is really luck dependent and you need all the boosting potions you can farm for the final boss the repeated critical strikes on the first 3 animals will cause the rest of their team to die from the sheer pain of survivors guilt
For someone who has played this game now quite a few times here are some fun/grindy/amusing challenges:
1. No potions
2. No Bonushealth/Def
3. No Offensive Stats
4. Skill only magic - only rings and helmet allowed (rings are allowed to give you attack and def)
5. Axes/Spells/Spears
good luck to you masochists out there <3
As someone who is considered a god amongst mere mortals when it comes to rogue-like and bullet-hell games, i enjoy this game. While the 4-directional shooting is a limitation, it doesn't make the game much harder when you're knowing what you're doing and I somewhat see a potential for some dark/horror themed rogue-like after listening to that golem sound. If you would add more upgrades to the shop as well as some classes different weapons or achievements I can see myself playing that game a lot. 3/5 for a somewhat nice alpha
needs more classes, better/more upgrades (maybe a higher health increase for each upgrade) and some special advantage for the rogue, then I can see myself playing this game for a long time
Even before looking at the creator, you can already tell the similarities to Monster Clearer and I enjoyed both of them. While the leveling and progression feels quite similar being able to choose the target with much less information (how much damage you will receive, and in shorter time) makes it somewhat more dull to play from a decision-making view. Looking forward to a third game of you, should there be one!
i really enjoyed the general theme of the game. classic without making it worn out. the only flaw i see is in the "choices" not really seem to have some effect on the story. 4/5
i already played this game like 10 times in different ways - normally, only attack, only defense, only magic, magic+attack, defense+magic, attack+defense, no stat boost, i demand more content <3
