So... this game offers no challenge, no reward for finding secrets, no memorable characters, and a half-assed storyline with no intention of hiding it. There is no reason for this game to exist.
If the menu music sounds familiar, that's because it was also used in KOLM and KOLM 2 (which fit better IMO). It's called Counting Down The Hours by Ockeroid. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/359609
This game is the whole reason I traded my iPad for an Android tablet. It is THAT awesome playing it with a touchscreen. Few comments: Drags are really hard to hit unless the section is very slow. Android is registering my touch movements without problem, but Flash seems to be really buggy and not catching drags. Songs are quite playable up to about 9 difficulty. Above that, my Tegra 2 chip (overclocked to 1.4 Ghz already) isn't quite fast enough. Framerate dips, and I die quickly. I can only unlock about half the songs because of that.
Just not optimized for mobile. Some parts are okay, but even on my laptop, I remember the scenes to be quite CPU intensive, hence why it lags on my tablet. All I can say is: learn2code.
I really like this game, but it would be better if it didn't lag/stutter every couple of minutes. I'm using a pretty recent Core 2 Duo with 4GB RAM, latest Chrome 16 and Flash 11.1. My CPU usage isn't even high (rarely peaking at 50%) so not sure why this would happen.
You've got a nice little Game Boy-style platformer engine here. It's a shame you had to ruin it with such a silly gimmick. It could have been a really nice game.
