It would be nice if you could get bonus points for doing things like matching the same type of ingredient in a row or having a clear workspace at the end of a match.
I understand that you can't support Firefox for this game, that's not my problem. My problem is that a game that people using one of the main browsers can't play got badges. This is a complaint against Kongregate, not the developer.
I tried hard to support Firefox, but just can't. For a browser based game it uses unusually big maps and lots of objects - all this causes issues for Firefox memory management which is not yet optimized for such workflow. I keep regularly testing this game against Firefox, as soon as it becomes playable, I will enable it. Cities on this game get big with thousands of citizens.
My biggest complaint is that several upgrades say they increase cool-down, but act like it's a good thing. So does it mean the cool-down is higher or lower?
Bow is actually not that bad of weapon. Go down the multishot path, the extra charge path, and when you're finished you can shoot arrows that split so much they take out hit entire swarms. It works even better with doom where you can delete an entire wave in one move. I have better results with the bow than the wand honestly.
The game has some interesting ideas, though I don't feel like they're all implemented well. The game feels like it wants to be a turn based game, but at the same time wants to be a real time strategy game. So it just ends up in a weird place. I feel the game could use some more refinement.
I feel like light tanks should be effective against heavy, heavy should be effective against medium, and medium should be effective against light. Instead it feels like light beats everything, which is annoying and not fun to play against.
The saving has other issues too. Like grinding elites for a while before going back to your current zone for progress; then when you come back you're in the same area but of the zone you were doing elite battles in. So all your item drops while you were offline are for the wrong area and are pretty much useless except for sacrifices.
It annoys me how many people hate these games simply because they're badge of the day. I understand that they're not for everyone but the same could be said for puzzle games, racers, and pixel perfect platformers.
A more exact explanation of the chainsaw glitch is this: When you try and switch weapons while using the chainsaw you switch ammo but the weapon itself doesn't change. When you run out of that ammo you reload it with 99 ammo if it were a chainsaw. While this is useful for most weapons it's really good for the rifle. The rifle only has one ammo so it shouldn't need time between shots. When it has more ammo however it works like an automatic.
Once you reach Dark Temple you find out how poorly magic scales. I started using create elements to make as many 4 and 5 combos to get as many extra moves and health as possible while gaining energy. Then I used Sneak Attack and had a high damage weapon with damage + gear which hit for about 80 damage each hit.
Coldsnap absolutely allows you to keep hitting an enemy after you beat them. I was able to loot an enemy around 5 times before I ran out of energy. Of course all I got out of it was coal but still it worked.
I am aware it's a feature, that's why I called it an issue instead of a bug. Just because it's intentional doesn't mean it's good. And it makes a lot of the things in the game a lot harder than it should be. Trying to open more than 3 chests in a row, upgrading hero's, and changing out your lines among other things suffer because of this. Just because it's not a bug doesn't mean it doesn't need fixed.
You can actually craft traps right now. While the 1L traps require 10000 Rainbow Fish to make, the 100mL traps still require 10000 Gold instead. It does however mean you can't get the higher level traps.
